What is the link with foreign aid and the EU practical? I don't think the EU dictates what we choose to give [or am I mistaken?].

I believe it when they say that no EU country would give the UK better deals than they have themselves. Why would they? Every EU country has a veto on everything that is offered.

I think you have got it wrong about Port Talbot - Carwyn Jones has said the Assembly will put money in - a way has obviously been found.
That document is far from saying they will give visa free travel to Turkish people - if it is quoted correctly. Sensible to look into what they will do and the next sentence says about possibly giving visas to those with special passports. - which are the diplomatic ones.
I think neither side are being completely open - but that is no different to normal manifestos. We do know what we are dealing with initially if we remain but we have no real idea with the Exit position - it is supposition in the main. When you look at it logically would they really be likely to give UK all the benefits of a free market with no money going into the funds and no migration - if it were then every country would want the same deal.

Which is speaking the truth, practical, and reading others who speak the truth.

Wrong about the steel, practical. In fact the government was trying to stop the EU from putting tariffs on Chinese steel.

dj like the contract for our railway lines was given to another eu country while our steel works were closing that contract could have kept them open a while longer.

Ww I watched the steel works fiasco with great interest because I think the pit stich up was terrible and at one stage the government was on about putting 25% towards keep port Talbot open that faded away when the rules that tax payers cash cannot be put towards saving a company. Yet we can waste millions on foreign aid last year making a mistake and giving twice what we need to while watching out firms close

I read an article in the Guardian on Saturday about the Brexit bus turning up at a factory in Stratford, and the owner getting a lukewarm response when he told the workers he was bothered about high levels of immigration.
Most of his staff are Polish, so many that the signs are written in Polish and English. He obviously hadn't noticed.

Documents leaked to the Sunday Times show there have been discussions of implementing visa-free travel to the UK for Turkish special passport holders – who number over one million.
The leaked telegrams relate to the EU’s controversial deal to compensate Turkey for helping control the Syrian migrant crisis.
Janet Douglas, an official at the British Embassy in Ankara, wrote: "We will need to develop our own lines on the UK’s stance to visa-free travel for Turks".
She added: "One option would be to assess again the possibility of visa travel for Turkish special passport holders which would be a risk, but a significant and symbolic gesture to Turkey."
Dr Fox has suggested the government has not been transparent with the public over the Turkish issue.

I don't remember any halcyon days, nor am I harking back to them. Times change, and the UK would have made its way without the EU if we hadn't joined.

Like with many things practical it is how each Govt chooses to interpret the rules which count. France does not pay out benefits straight away to migrants - never have done neither do they interpret the double taxation treaty the same as other countries - This causes us to pay almost twice as much tax overall.

Trisher not only will it be the poor people living in the NE but also Wales and if as forecast the Financial Centre moves to Frankfurt then many people living in the Se will also feel a big cold draft and great loss of income. Frankfurt are making preparations for the Centre to move there - be like Christmas coming early for them!

trisher the steel industry would have been saved by the government but it is against eu rules. The pits were shut under eu global warming rules as soon as our last pit shut Germany opened one of theirs.

The 'Outers' could have given counter arguments as well but they did not. It is no good just saying 'get our country back' or 'take control' etc etc. The one thing which is certain is that we cannot turn the clock back to what some people seem to remember as halcyon days. I don't remember it raining much during school holidays when I was at primary school but I am sure that is not how it was in reality - I think that is the case with the wonderful times memories.
If the vote is to leave I hope that your dreams will be right and we are all delighted with the result but unfortunately I think we will be disappointed and if, as a chap on the News said this morning, in 30 years time the UK will be great I fear I will not be about to appreciate it!

Please can someone from the leave campaign tell me what they would say to a worker from Nissan? The company have said that they will not go ahead with a proposed expansion if we leave and will scale back operations,and move production to other countries. In an area that was devastated by the end of steel making and mining how do you explain that our sovreignty and controlling immigration matter more than their jobs?
