I have done hours of research and if we vote stay in then Junker ect will clamp down immediately and we will have the euro which is a failing currency already plus we will have no protection against flooding the country with immigrants.

Gagagran Thu 02-Jun-16 10:07:22

I am a definite OUT voter because I hate the dictatorial way the EU has put its fingers in every area of our lives. We don't need Brussels telling us what we can or cannot do. We are an old democracy and used to voting our politicians in or out. We cannot do that with the EU.

Also, if Turkey is allowed into the EU as the price for their so-called co-operation in dealing with the Syrian (and other) migrants, we face another 75 million people having the right to come and live here. Along with all the other the Balkan countries who are posed to join the EU. Our NHS, schools, housing and roads and trains are already at bursting point. We have to be able to limit immigration to suit our needs.

I have found the scaremongering of the Remain campaign distasteful in the extreme and their lack of faith in the resilience of the British people is shameful. We were an independent country for hundreds of years compared to 40 years in the EU and we will certainly survive and thrive outside that corrupt organisation.

Having trouble getting on here this morning, but I'm for out.

Juggernaut Thu 02-Jun-16 09:46:18

My postal voting form arrived yesterday morning, it got filled in immediately and was sent back yesterday afternoon!
So, for good or bad......my vote's castsmile

harrigran Thu 02-Jun-16 09:33:59

If you are unsure just read newspaper article about Pat Glass, this woman has done more for Brexit than Remain with her crass remarks.

Jenty61 Thu 02-Jun-16 09:28:53

dont listen to talk of what might or might not happen if we stay in or out...just look at all the cock ups since weve been in!
Im out!

kittylester Thu 02-Jun-16 09:21:55

We can be confused together. grin

GandTea Thu 02-Jun-16 09:16:19

I was unsure which way to vote, now I'm undecided. confused I don't know who to believe. It's all too personal.

Gandtea
Just one quote from Junker.
The eu had passed too many laws that should have been left for national governments to decide. The eu block is loosing economic clout. You are right in saying the european project has lost part of it's attractiveness.
I think that one of the reasons Europe citizens are stepping away from the * European project* is that we are interfering into too many domains of their private lives.
End of quote.
Read other stuff other than the Gaudian.

I have read articles where other countries are whishing us well and want to follow us but I think the eu will fold in on itself once we are out. We are just their cash cow we give them plenty and have no say out of 72 rules we put forward not one of them has been passed. I know we will all make our country great again.

I too am pleased practical that you have started this thread. I am pleased also to see in my area we are just getting some out literature which is very interesting and much more factual. The inners booklet arrived much too prematurely to be of much help to their campaign. Personally I have read a great deal on the subject and have tried not to listen to the outrageous statements made by both sides.
We need to exit from this troubled bloc, probably having difficulties at first, but it will be worth it in the end.

We posted our out votes today. Does anyone know how long after referendum day the result will be announced?

Luckygirl Wed 01-Jun-16 21:24:19

I will vote out because:

- there is no democracy or accountability in the EU, hence its rulings have no legitimacy.
- the bureaucracy is a gravy train of amazing proportions.
- the nonsense of wasting millions of pounds regularly trekking back and forth from Brussels to Strasbourg with whole trains full of papers and documents is ridiculous; and is illustrative of the cumbersome procedures and the impossibility of change. Everyone knows it's daft, but no-one seems to be able to change it - too many vested interests.
- many rules and regulations are nonsense - I was very impressed by the arguments of the guy from Tate and Lyle. He pays millions in EU tariffs to import cane sugar - whilst at the same time importers of beet sugar are subsidized. There is no joined-up thinking.

practical Wed 01-Jun-16 21:05:09

rosesarered I think they must be right because some of the top ones in the eu are having talks about needing more cash if we go. Lots of countries are waiting for us to be out then will have a referendum themselves.

rosesarered Wed 01-Jun-16 20:25:48

Looks like the polls are predicting a lead for the OUT vote at the moment, but we all know about polls! still, a hopeful sign.

practical Wed 01-Jun-16 20:24:18

welcome all of you out voters I have been researching for years on this because I love my country and my kids so have spent hours looking and it's amazing what you find out.
Camerons father in law gets a fortune from the eu on land grants and for having solar panels on some of that land.

A 9 years old Lisbon treaty
boring but lays out what PM's have signed us up to

Anya Wed 01-Jun-16 19:59:57

I'll probably vote out - same reason as bags

rosesarered Wed 01-Jun-16 19:50:20

Yes, a lot of talking down going on ( on other thread) you have to have a double first from Oxford before you should be allowed a vote ( or words to that effect) grin

rosesarered Wed 01-Jun-16 19:48:37

What do we want, OUT OUT OUT...when do we want it? NOW NOW NOW. smile

obieone Wed 01-Jun-16 19:22:52

Definitely an outer.

I think that a lot of those who end up voting to remain, will regret it, probably before the year is out.

gangy5 Wed 01-Jun-16 19:12:51

Welshwife YOU ARE TRESPASSING !!!!

Firecracker123 Wed 01-Jun-16 19:03:49

Yes thanks for starting the thread. I'm voting out. Fed up with Cameron and Osborne's lies and I was a supporter before.

harrigran Wed 01-Jun-16 18:57:14

I am definitely an out voter. I am tired of people telling me I read the wrong newspapers and watch the wrong TV programmes because my views are not their views.
I received a hand delivered letter, addressed to me with my full Christian and surname, from the local labour MP telling me why I should vote to remain. Where we live we have the most useless labour council I have ever experienced. Would I trust her opinion, not a snowball's chance.

varian Wed 01-Jun-16 18:35:12

I watched the Leave referendum broadcast for the first time and I was genuinely shocked that they are still allowed to perpetuate a pack of lies.

We all know that we don't send £350m per day or anything like it to the EU.

I cannot understand why the advertising standards authority has not stepped in to forbid this misleading propaganda. Surely not even the convinced outers on this thread actually believe that is true?

Cherrytree59 Wed 01-Jun-16 18:24:01

Thanks for the thread Pratical
I have already made up my mind
Its always been Out
