A thread for those who are voting OUT of the EU to make it fair

I have done hours of research and if we vote stay in then Junker ect will clamp down immediately and we will have the euro which is a failing currency already plus we will have no protection against flooding the country with immigrants.

Hello, practical. I'm an Outer too because of democracy. I don't think we have enough direct control over the EU bureaucracy. It seems to me to be a too large and cumbersome organisation.

I don't hold out much hope of this remaining an Outers' thread, sadly. I think the Remainsers will tramp over here too and carry on the bombardment.

merlotgran Wed 01-Jun-16 16:28:13

I've been a ditherer but now firmly in the OUT camp. The main reasons being the right to govern ourselves and control our borders.

kittylester Wed 01-Jun-16 16:35:56

Think I'll start an 'I don't flipping know' thread. Except that might be even more attractive to the 'inners'.

My instinct says out but I'm a bit scared of the unknown and what would really happen - no one seems to be able to come up with any projections at all.

Lona Wed 01-Jun-16 16:36:32

I've already voted out, mainly because our politicians tell so many lies that I don't believe any of their arguments.
I think it may well be a good thing to stand on our own again.

practical Wed 01-Jun-16 16:47:04

today we have junker saying perhaps they shouldn't have moved so quickly but quickly or not they were going to move onto everyone in the euro yet the countries that are in it are really bad off now. When Heath first joined us in it he said the British public are too stupid to know what's happening until it's too late. That paper has been made public on the freedom of information bill. It had to be kept secret for 390 years.

practical Wed 01-Jun-16 16:49:16

kitty if you don't know you should read both threads and take your time. There is lots of information on you tube

GandTea Wed 01-Jun-16 16:54:59

Practical what or who is "junker" and why should they force us into the Euro.

fiorentina51 Wed 01-Jun-16 16:58:40

We were conned into joining what I was led to believe was a trade organisation. My Italian and Belgian relatives all said the same thing...."Don't do it!"
The Belgian lot told us about the rampant corruption in Brussels and that it was common knowledge that if you could join the happy gravy train you were onto a winner.
I voted to stay in last time but this time I'm not convinced by the inners argument. All the talk about the fact that we can reform the EU by staying in it is nonsense IMO. I just think we will get more of the same and nothing will change if we stay in.
Cynical old devil aren't I?

sunseeker Wed 01-Jun-16 17:08:31

I too am voting out. There is not enough accountability for the budget of the EU. In all the years it has been in existence the accounts have never been passed by auditors and yet they keep asking for and spending more and more money. We voted to join a loose trading group, what we have got is an organisation which wants to control every aspect of our lives and even over-rule our courts. We cannot prevent policies which are detrimental to us as we are outvoted by the other nations. We are told we must take more economic migrants (I'm not talking about refugees from war), we are told we cannot deport those who break our laws, we are unable to prevent those who have committed crimes in their own countries from coming here.

Ana Wed 01-Jun-16 17:14:34

I'm surprised you don't know who Juncker is, GandTea, considering you've posted quite a lot on other EU threads.

I agree with thatbags, there's no way this will remain an 'Outers'' thread! grin

Welshwife Wed 01-Jun-16 17:20:01

I shall say no more than that you are once again spreading things which are not true. You all have the right to vote how you like but please just check that the facts - such as joining the Euro - are correct before spreading them.

GandTea Wed 01-Jun-16 17:20:29

Thanks for being patronising Ana, a simple explanation would have been more help. I have said many time on other threads that I am not very interested in politics. I am however interested in the country that we are leaving for our GC.
So my question stands, perhaps someone would kindly enlighten this political dunce.

GandTea Wed 01-Jun-16 17:26:13

OK, don't bother, now I have the correct spelling Google has found a link.
I'll try not to embarrass myself by asking questions again.

kittylester Wed 01-Jun-16 17:28:01

Welshwife, who exactly is spreading things that are untrue?

I think practical means Claude Juncker, GandTea. I can see that this thread is going to be bombarded so I won't start my thread! grin

GandTea Wed 01-Jun-16 17:30:53

Thanks Kitty, I am reading about him now.

Welshwife Wed 01-Jun-16 17:31:54

Well I think you will find that Cameron got the agreement that the UK will NOT need to join the Euro. However should we leave and then crawl back asking to rejoin we would most likely need to join the Euro.

Ana Wed 01-Jun-16 17:32:31

I didn't intend my post to be patronising, GandTea - sorry if you found it so. Despite the spelling error, I'd have thought most people would have known who practical was referring to, but I was obviously wrong!

GandTea Wed 01-Jun-16 17:36:57

Ana smile. I genuinely did not know, politics bore me, my brain turns off when it is on TV. I make my vote at the general election and expect my MP to sort it for me.

practical Wed 01-Jun-16 17:40:14

GrandTea
RUSSELS bigwigs have turned a blind eye to French budget infractions “because it is France”, Jean-Claude Juncker has bizarrely claimed. This year Italy was granted maximum allowed leeway, despite Rome’s debt being above agreed limit and not decreasing as it should.
that's junker letting France and Italy getting away with not obeying the rules that we have never been allowed to

practical Wed 01-Jun-16 17:42:01

WW I am surprised you believe anything camoron say's he has told more lies to get people to stay in than any other PM

GandTea Wed 01-Jun-16 17:43:39

Why oh Why did I ask, brain has just committed suicide smile (I always hated accountants)

practical Wed 01-Jun-16 17:44:01

Grand tea ask any question's you want to and I will try to answer them

practical Wed 01-Jun-16 17:53:17

www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/columnists/christopherbooker/5301009/A-look-in-the-EUs-unbalanced-books.html
this was an article in the Telegraph that explained what I already knew, the accounts have never been signed off but this says how it happened when someone wouldn't sign off the accounts.

Welshwife Wed 01-Jun-16 18:13:36

That article is seven years old.
The facts of what Cameron agreed with Brussels etc was European News not just UK. Had that been a lie do you not think someone else from another country would have outed him?
I think many of them are telling untruths - Farage has been doing it for years but keep repeating things and people do start to believe it. Poor Boris was put on the spot about the 350 million by Laura and didn't really give a satisfactory answer. Today he has said that the lowering of migrant numbers would depend on a UK Govt if we left the EU - back tracking already.
