I am sorry to be watching this ' unravelling' news report .

I hope she will be OK. Her poor family.

It is being reported that 2 people have been shot and 2 stabbings but no police confirmation as yet. The area is on lock down at the moment and there is a Primary School in the vicinity .

I hope the gunman is caught soon.

Sounds like the next Labour candidate for Jo's seat will have no opponents put up against them in the by-election. There is talk of her husband standing but maybe he will not want to right now.

I will not join any political party but I will always remember her as an upholder of decency, fairness and compassion.

And yes, I do remember when she became an MP (she seemed so tiny but a force to be reckoned with).

sad

You'd have thought that they would have had the good grace and manners to advise you annie

If you join then welcome Lazygirl, not a small gesture at all, if you do join you will be surprised at the emails from MP's not loads I promise but no hatred , bitterness, attacks, any member will confirm this is true .

I was very impressed with her and Mrs Coxs parents.

She also said something about not giving up the political fight so you will do good lazi welcome to the Labour family! I am not an active member -no time with elderly mum.

I did quite a heckler speaking of brown envelopes but couldn't be that surely , it's been a joke for years

I think hanging would be the only thing to punish this person. I dont care if he is mad or not there are two kids without a mother and that is unforgivable.

Lazigirl Sat 18-Jun-16 20:50:51

I have just watched Jo's sister give a very brave speech in Birstall, with her parents supporting her. It made me cry. They are obviously devastated, she was just thanking everyone and basically saying that they would uphold her legacy and her positive belief in "love not hate". However much we disagree with one another it is sad that political debate has become so hateful and toxic in this country. I have been very disillusioned with the Labour Party in recent years, but I will be joining next week, a small gesture I suppose, but I applaud what she believed in and think she has been inspirational and an example of a conscientious and caring MP.

I know, just saying

whitewave Sat 18-Jun-16 20:46:51

But that isn't a secret everyone knows about the backhanders they received.

Jalima Sat 18-Jun-16 20:46:24

perhaps it wasn't brown

Tegan Sat 18-Jun-16 20:42:57

Maybe it was the mention of brown envelopes confused. If this is removed then I'm right...

granjura Sat 18-Jun-16 20:39:27

Annie, this is bizarre. But the Hamiltons are such opportunists and money hungry * so no excuses needed there.

Anniebach Sat 18-Jun-16 20:14:57

If I knew what I said that was offensive I would apologise, but I honestly don't know , something can be said on HIGNFY many times but cannot be repeated here I suppose , no matter

whitewave Sat 18-Jun-16 20:11:39

Perhaps HQ would care to enlighten us. At the moment it seems a tad heavy handed. Over to you HQ.

Anniebach Sat 18-Jun-16 20:07:50

No idea whitewave, I said he didn't know the answer to my question, and what two hecklers said was not offensive in anyway, one comment has been said on tv many, many times , hey ho, it was wrong but I don't know why, perhaps someone complained it offended them , he was a Tory politician

whitewave Sat 18-Jun-16 19:22:21

Why did HQ zapped that annie ? I saw your post and I cannot understand their reasoning.

Anniebach Sat 18-Jun-16 18:39:59

I went to the meeting, I asked a polite question and he didn't know the answer, I also repeated what two hecklers said ,

Elrel Sat 18-Jun-16 18:26:03

I'd forgotten that remark by Nabarro, oh dear.

dramatictessa Sat 18-Jun-16 18:21:17

granjura , that's brilliant!

Jalima Sat 18-Jun-16 18:20:16

Somehow, I do not think you will be going to any of his meetings, Annie
hmm if he appears with other people on a panel surely better to go and demolish his arguments than pretend he isn't there?

Jalima Sat 18-Jun-16 18:18:45

it's OK, I googled it

Jalima Sat 18-Jun-16 18:18:06

IACGMOOH
confused??

Anniebach Sat 18-Jun-16 18:06:32
