I am sorry to be watching this ' unravelling' news report .

I hope she will be OK. Her poor family.

It is being reported that 2 people have been shot and 2 stabbings but no police confirmation as yet. The area is on lock down at the moment and there is a Primary School in the vicinity .

I hope the gunman is caught soon.

I am not sure that that is right Anniebach. There will still be the same characters in Government in the same Government positions. Personally I am not sure that that is going to change even if the vote is OUT.

Farage is UKIP. He is not Conservative.

Tegan. That chimes in with what I was saying on another thread. The poor in the Labour Party feeling let down and left out by the wealthy people in it.
Though are death threats anything new on the internet? Especially to MPs? I dont know. Someone else might know on here?

merlotgran Wed 22-Jun-16 10:24:08

Why will we have the Tory right running the country? Farage isn't even an MP.

whitewave Wed 22-Jun-16 10:30:13

He's been promised a peerage and will then serve in a Johnson cabinet

Anniebach Wed 22-Jun-16 10:35:23

Farage is leader of UKIP Merlotgran. He is not a member of the Tory party is he

obieone Wed 22-Jun-16 10:36:59

We dont have a Johnson cabinet. Personally I think most people agree that Boris has not done a good job. I think his chances of forming a cabinet are slim at best.

Anniebach Wed 22-Jun-16 10:37:33

obieone, I said Tory right not UKIP, I do know UKIP do not have the number of MP's to form a government , didn't you?

merlotgran Wed 22-Jun-16 10:37:56

I do kind of know that, Anniebach hmm

Anniebach Wed 22-Jun-16 10:40:05

Did you merlot? Yet you brought him into a post referring to the far right of the Tory party ?

POGS Wed 22-Jun-16 10:48:14

Thank goodness for the likes of Jo Cox who understood the ridiculous compulsion for partisan politics.

I have been on Gnet for just a few weeks, but it became apparent very quickly, that a sprinkling of posters are quite belittling in the way they address others, particularly on the political threads.
Being Sagittarian I see it as a challenge to respond and enjoy doing so,but I do wince when I see comments akin to chastising a naughty child, rather than addressing an equal .

Hopefully, when the EU furore has died down,we can be a little more cordial.

Don't hold your breath g16

Ana Wed 22-Jun-16 20:04:52

For once, I agree with you whitewave.

rosesarered Wed 22-Jun-16 20:54:01

I would like to think so Granny2016 but know that it won't be so.However, one thing is for sure,it couldn't get much worse( crosses fingers .)

Farage is a Cancer
No, I think his star sign is Aries

In my opinion (which some posters may ridicule, that's their prerogative) is that when if Remain win, Boris will shake hands with DC, say 'well done, old chap, best of luck in your future dealings with the EU'.

durhamjen Wed 22-Jun-16 21:18:07

Thanks, Jalima, that's my sign as well. Apart from that, we have nothing in common.

Jalima Wed 22-Jun-16 21:33:18

DGS is Aries too

Those who are not Aries need not read the following (although if you have an Aries OH, DC or DGC it could explain a lot (exhausting)
sorry djen grin
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and that's pretty much how those born under this sign see themselves: first. Aries are the leaders of the pack, first in line to get things going. Whether or not everything gets done is another question altogether, for an Aries prefers to initiate rather than to complete. Do you have a project needing a kick-start? Call an Aries, by all means. The leadership displayed by Aries is most impressive, so don't be surprised if they can rally the troops against seemingly insurmountable odds -- they have that kind of personal magnetism. An Aries won't shy away from new ground, either. Those born under this sign are often called the pioneers of the zodiac, and it's their fearless trek into the unknown that often wins the day. Aries is a bundle of energy and dynamism, kind of like a Pied Piper, leading people along with its charm and charisma. The dawning of a new day -- and all of its possibilities -- is pure bliss to an Aries.

sounds a bit ominous if that is Farage

durhamjen Wed 22-Jun-16 21:58:49

My birthday is the same day as Hitler's, Jalima. He was another one. My eldest granddaughter is one, too.
Hopefully my charm and charisma will win the day tomorrow, rather than Farage's.
One thing wrong, I would never ask kids I taught to do something I couldn't do myself. Still don't.

whitewave Wed 22-Jun-16 22:00:39

I'm an Aquarian - haven't a clue what that personality is supposed to be.

Gracesgran Wed 22-Jun-16 22:02:07

Sheila Hancock has been particularly good on the debate (the last, thank goodness) on at the moment and their poll thing shot up.

dramatictessa Wed 22-Jun-16 22:05:08

This thread is getting very surreal - and quite enjoyable!

Jalima Wed 22-Jun-16 22:05:57

it was this bit:
he dawning of a new day -- and all of its possibilities -- is pure bliss to an Aries.

Jalima Wed 22-Jun-16 22:07:06

whitewave -
Those born under this sign have the social conscience needed to carry us into the new millennium. These folks are humanitarian, philanthropic and keenly interested in making the world a better place.
we need you

merlotgran Wed 22-Jun-16 22:11:16

Sandie Shaw has lost the plot grin
