.... almost want the other side to win, simply because the follow up to the result would be so much more interesting? Yes, I know that is completely irresponsible. hmm

Can't sleep head buzzing

obieone Fri 24-Jun-16 03:45:21

Goodnight Wilma moon

Advantage of being up at this time. Can speak live to relatives abroad. I am accumulating them more and more.

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 24-Jun-16 03:42:32

Leave is pulling further ahead.

Time for sleep (if possible). moon

It was when Welshwife said this week that she was living in France, that the penny dropped.
I envisaged Welshwife living in Wales!

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 24-Jun-16 03:38:47

obieone that's true. There's several posters who live in France and granjura is in Switzerland (I think).

Sheffield vote out (big numbers too) and Edinburgh voted to remain.

obieone Fri 24-Jun-16 03:38:45

Same as Wilma.

Goodnight whitewave.

Short term, I dont think[if it is Leave] that it will be as bad as people fear by quite some way.

And medium and long term, yeah, at least good.

obieone Fri 24-Jun-16 03:34:26

As an aside, or perhaps not, I have noticed that some of the people posting to remain, live in Europe.

If I was living in Europe I wouldn't want Britain to Leave.

whitewave Fri 24-Jun-16 03:34:24

I'm going to switch light off to see if I can sleep otherwise I shall be knackered as have mum to sort out.

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 24-Jun-16 03:32:04

I should try to get some sleep, but I'm scared of missing something.

daphnedill Fri 24-Jun-16 03:31:09

Cameron will be gone.

obieone Fri 24-Jun-16 03:30:34

03.26am too tired to think or comment now. Off to bed. Probably!

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 24-Jun-16 03:29:51

I would seriously consider moving back to Scotland when my husband retires if we leave the EU.

obieone Fri 24-Jun-16 03:28:25

Cameron is going to be pressured to act immediately about Leave[if it is Leave] I think, because of the financial markets.
They hate uncertainty, so he wont have the luxury of twiddling his thumbs.

What has concerned me all along, is whether Cameron has the vision to see through a Leave vote. I dont think he does going by waht he said for a month or two after the referendum was announced.

whitewave Fri 24-Jun-16 03:27:58

That's Scotand gone.

Maggiemaybe Fri 24-Jun-16 03:27:38

Back covering. There'll be a lot more of that to come!

whitewave Fri 24-Jun-16 03:26:10

Rees Mogg thinks if there is a recession it won't be because of Brexit. Hasn't he heard of cause and effect, or is he covering his back?

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 24-Jun-16 03:26:07

I do think there will be a general election sooner rather than later. Can't see the Tories allowing Cameron to negotiate the divorce.

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 24-Jun-16 03:23:31

I think Cameron and Osborne will stay for now.

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 24-Jun-16 03:22:15

daphne I wouldn't have made that connection as the reason.

Coventry voted Leave. I live 4 miles from there. Lost most of its huge manufacturing industry and of course, pit closures.

daphnedill Fri 24-Jun-16 03:21:44

Not so, obie. I have listened and have been dreading this. I still don't understand what answers people are looking for, despite asking many times.

daphnedill Fri 24-Jun-16 03:20:12

@POGS

But who do they think is going to listen to them now? Certainly not right wing Tories. What do they think anybody is going to do?

obieone Fri 24-Jun-16 03:19:52

Not sure Cameron has gone. Or Osborne.

Not that difficult to understand the result at all.

POGS - quite.
I have to say that many people on gransnet dont listen either.Espcially in the last few weeks and days.

The people who talk a lot on gransnet about politics are quite out of touch on the whole.

WilmaKnickersfit Fri 24-Jun-16 03:19:36

ww the pound has plummeted.
