The year six boys ( linking arms while taking part in the race and inset, finishing the event together) from Wrawby St Mary's C of E Primary School near Scunthorpe in Lincolnshire, decided to come joint second so that their pal, 11-year-old Rory Kettles (circled, crossing the finish line), could take the spoils on the day. Headteacher Mariclare Potterton said: 'As you can imagine I'm incredibly proud of all the children - it was something the children came up with themselves. It was so emotional, I was so touched.'

It's good to read when there is so much bullying in schools
I hope a lot of the kids find out about this and follow their example

My gd has nf which affects her mobility, sometimes during a game of tig, her friends go slower so she can 'tig' them.smile
