He'll stay during this immediate period of chaos, but they are both toast.

What's worrying me is Farage

Pleased to meet you Suzied. Not sure if the last 8 years since the banks messed up have affected you - or London - but I have had to tighten my belt and still keep working, albeit part time as that is all I can manage at my age. It pays for yarn, thread and material that I would not otherwise be able to afford.

Wonder how Corbyn is going to come back from this though.

He should stay, for the moment. After all Cameron invited the country to speak.

The present government needs to re-unite itself and pull together to make this work. The result of the next election very much rests on how they act now.

I don't think he'll stay long. He's got us into this mess by calling a referendum in the first place. How many ££££££s has this cost? To appease UKIP. Cameron, Osborne, Johnson and the like wont be effected by the coming recession, they've all got millions in the bank anyway. I'm feeling quite sick by the whole political landscape. As for Farage saying they've won without a bullet being fired or wherever, just crass. Welcome to the 1930s everyone.

We need the present UK governance now more than ever. The PM should stay. He has the expertise with other leaders of Europe.

Fortunately for Cameron, Boris is not thought to have done quite as good a job as was expected. That might save him.

Not as sure about Osborne. His faux budget should Brexit win, went down, well faster than a lead balloon.

Loopy splintering teeth!grin nobody is worth that.
I think Cameron and Osborne would stay for a short while ( but he always said he would go after a while anyway) perhaps until next year?

He's so insufferably smug my teeth are splintering just thinking about him ?
He'll be insufferable if we Remain........

The thought of Buffoonery Boris ...is that even worse? I'm not sure.....

Yes. I don't see it would change anything. Unless he there was a vote of no confidence in him by his own party. Not sure if that would mean an election or a new leader.

Ana Thu 23-Jun-16 17:23:45

Well, Boris would be in there like a flash, given half a chance!

Part of me thinks no. And part thinks yes.

Yes, because he was elected as Prime Minister, and nothing has changed in that respect.

But part of me thinks no. Not because he might lose, but because he seems a bit clueless what to do if it is a Leave vote.
Personally, I think all Prime Ministers should be ready for anything, and I dont get the impression that he is.

On balance I think he should stay. But only if he proves very quickly that he is up to the job.

I can't help wondering whether he actually wants the job if it is Leave?

I hope he stays if it means .boris J moving in to no 10

whitewave Thu 23-Jun-16 16:59:35

No - but there was a report that the Brexiteers were prepared to put up with him if he didnt invoke article 50 right away as they have some daft idea that the EU might cave in and give US everything we want. So we may still end up remaining after all this grief! That was Howard - him of the night

I know it's not decided yet. But, should the country vote for out, Cameron says he will stay. Should he?
