I think David Cameron should butt out and leave Jeremy Corbyn alone

None of his business. Just because he's had a hard time and been bullied by Junker, doesn't mean he should bully Corbyn. "For heaven's sake man, GO!".

Nasty I say. hmm

Didn't like the tone of that one bit, but it just about sums up what kind of 'leaders' we have these days.

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 29-Jun-16 15:19:33

Bunch of kids. hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 29-Jun-16 15:20:02

Shall we go up there and have a go instead?

baNANAGran3 Wed 29-Jun-16 15:24:54

Gee En Party - has a certain ring to it..

baNANAGran3 Wed 29-Jun-16 15:30:17

And as for Cameron telling Corbyn to go, it's not in Cameron's own personal interests to do that as he now has a weak opponent on all levels in Corbyn. As usual, Cameron is thinking of the country rather than himself - well apart from the Referendum of course where he really did miscalculate big style. I do think Cameron comes across as a decent guy with good intentions - unlike some. Just another nightmare from the result.

baNANAGran3 Wed 29-Jun-16 15:31:34

Gee En Party - NO! Sounds too much like Green Party - maybe just plain GN Party.

Even a cursory listening to any exchange on PMQs reveals MPs, especially the leaders of all the parties barracking each other about anything that is seen as perceived weakness. Cameron's comment is just part and parcel of that. Nothing exceptional about it. In fact it is such an obvious comment to make I am amazed he didn't make it some days ago when Corbyn was loaing all his shadow cabinet, and their replacements and then the ones that replaced them.

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 16:37:36

I disagree, whilst there has always been disagreement, PMQ has sunk so low with Cameron

M0nica Wed 29-Jun-16 16:45:07

have you been listening to PMQ's for long?

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 29-Jun-16 16:49:07

But he did tell him to go baNANAgran. Did you watch the video at the start of the thread?

TriciaF Wed 29-Jun-16 16:54:34

We heard it. But just typical of his habit of attacking the person not the issue.
Also maybe Corbyn's refusing to resign could have made him regret resigning himself?

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 17:04:49

Yes Monica

M0nica Wed 29-Jun-16 17:07:23

Well, you obviously never lsitened to responses to the LIb Dems in the years before the coalition and the year since.

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 17:11:20

Well, I didn't block my ears if this what you are suggesting

MaizieD Wed 29-Jun-16 17:14:06

Labour hasn't been a strong opposition party since the 2010 genaral election so I don't know why everybody's blaming Corbyn now. I must say I'm disappointed in him; I'd hoped he had a bit more fire in him.

As for Cameron, he's just an empty shell of privilege with not much purpose/direction. He may be utterly charming but he's not a leader with any vision or backbone.

There's a nice assessment of him here: gladstonediaries.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/the-cameron-illusion.html

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 29-Jun-16 17:35:48

This is good. From the Telegraph

Ana Wed 29-Jun-16 17:41:57

That's great! grin

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 17:49:34

That is funny

rosesarered Wed 29-Jun-16 18:13:12

Yup, two lame ducks.

rosesarered Wed 29-Jun-16 18:13:47

What a difference a few days make!

Elegran Wed 29-Jun-16 18:33:18

They always say "A week is a long time in politics". Just look back at where we were this time last week!

thatbags Wed 29-Jun-16 19:15:06

Posted this on the wrong thread just now:

Ridiculous repartee and horrible back-stabbing are nothing new in parliament. It's just that we can see it nowadays. In the past, before it was recorded, we didn't. It still happened. Read any history with stuff about what went on in parliament in it.

M0nica Wed 29-Jun-16 20:22:00

But they were not attacking the labour leader thatbags

thatbags Wed 29-Jun-16 21:59:37

Not sure what you're getting at, monica. My post meant that I don't think that in the past politicians were less rowdy and ruse to each other than they sometimes are now.

thatbags Wed 29-Jun-16 21:59:45

rude
