Junior doctors reject contract offer

Not sure about your "non-radical or anti-establishment background" theory, though daphnedill. It may apply to many, but intelligent young people will I hope always question and speak their minds.
(Although they may be training to be GP's or hospital specialists in their final 2 years, they are as I understand it, still qualified doctors and a others have agreed, "junior doctors" are certainly not necessarily young dictors)

Unless they are a Consultant or a GP the sobriquet is " Junior Doctor" They are all qualified. It is an unfortunate misconception that they are kids!

No, although students in the their last two years of study count as junior doctors. My point is that young people who go into medicine don't usually come from very 'radical' and anti-establishment backgrounds.

Anybody up to the level of senior registrar I.e. not a consultant, is a "junior doctor". Bit of a misnomer though.
Oh dear, I thought it was sorted. Given a likely move to the right under a new Tory leader, I suspect even more intransigence from the government side.
