If there was any justice this would be their fate for the next ten years or so:
Boris Johnson - a non stop round of "I'm a Celebrity" and various cheap copies thereof. Regular demands that he eat land-based invertebrates. No hair products allowed on desert islands/jungle. Other contestants to be women who do not think he is amusing and men who cannot understand his jokes in the first place.
Michael Gove - teaching in an academy that is about to be placed in special measures as soon as OFSTED gets round to visiting them. Staff have long memories and are therefore not at all helpful. Timetable from hell.
Jeremy Hunt - cleaning toilets in an NHS hospital during an intractable outbreak of Noro virus , working to the shift patterns of a junior hospital doctor under new contract.
Prati Patel - zero hours contracts in two low-cost shops. In an area where there is a high proportion of UKIP voters and other grumpy customers.
IDS - Full time carer for a partner with dementia. Only one bedroom. On benefits. In hard-to-heat accommodation.
Osborne - working as a long-term temp (because the council don't offer permanent jobs any more) in the housing department of a local authority, in one of the less affluent areas of the UK. The other staff hate him (of course they do!) so they give him all the callers who are complaining that they can't have a council house because of the immigrants.
Amber Rudd - aid worker in Bangladesh during flood season.

love the suggestions as to where to place some of the Conservative MP's. Heard that Teflon Tessie and Georgie Porgie do not get on, so be interesting to see what she does with him. She will have to include some right wing Tories in her cabinet, in order to get their allegiance. Reckon Ledsome was a sacrificial lamb to get rid of Gove in the race to be PM. But then I didn't like her anyway! What will she do with Gove? Johnson? She can't leave them in the political wilderness - 'keep your enemies close' etc.

No, rosesarered I'm just hoping that he's been down in that hole with some sensible people and are choosing their moment to bring some sanity into all this summer madness. Actually, I've been shut off from any communication for two or three hours (no, I haven't been having a little zizz, merely tussling with the computer trying to upload some photographs). Hey, just spotted Tim Farron on the lunchtime news! He's surfaced at last - dare I start to hope??

Here, for what it is worth, is my cabinet suggestions:

Andrea Leadsom or Michael Gove: to Welsh Office so that they can explain to the impoverished areas who voted Brexit, just why it was a silly idea, and no, the rest of the country wont pick up the bill to replace all the EU subsidies and grants that they have effectively turned down.

Boris Johnson: something irrelevant but time consuming.
John Whittingale: Chief Whip ( sorry, couldnt resist)
Priti Patel: Trade and Industry ( good brain, just needs to be kept away from anything involving touchy feely empathy and human contact)
Wilderness: Ian Duncan Smith, complete and utter bastard doesnt deserve anything.

I am sure I will think of more, as we all will. I am not a Tory voter, but wish Mrs May well and think she is probably the best of the lot.

I think she would do well to consider a Brexit department that is a coalition of all parties. This would serve to take the country with her and possibly avoid anyone scuppering plans and negotiations.

The Cameron's have got the removal men in in Downing Street.
I'm sure we all remember the look on his face the day he and Sam walked in (after the delay and the forming of a coalition).
What a disaster he has been.

It would be nice to think May is going to be an improvement but no reason to believe she will be. He inherited a debt, from the banking crisis and failed to rise to the challenge. She is inheriting an even bigger debt and a bigger crisis as well.

Here, Here! A brave lady indeed. Same goes for Angela Eagle particularly as she is up against someone who either believes he is a latter day messiah, or has lost all sense of reality! I would never vote for her or her party, but I certainly admire her courage and wish her well.

I will be happy if she gets started quickly on getting us out of the EU. It will take a while, I expect, but it needs to be done before an election and before the EU implodes due to currency issues and unrest. I really don't think it will be too long before we see Andrea Leadsom taking a bigger role in the party. She may be inexperienced but a huge number of party members and general public were behind her. Not happy with May's record as home sec and her support for Sharia law probably.

I agree it has been interesting but enjoyed would probably be the last word I'd use to describe it .

I've quite enjoyed all the political confloptions and clusterfuck of the last few weeks. It has made me think very deeply about what I believe in. It has made me question a lot of things. Good mental exercise. And it has made the news more interesting.
