Traingate

The silliest thing about the Corbyn "Traingate" fiasco is that before the railways were privatised, I often had to sit on the floor toing and froing between Preston and Edinburgh. Sometimes there was no buffet car. And the toilets were often disgusting.

I guess Corbyn didn't travel by train much back then hmm

However, the trains I travelled on usually had more space for luggage than current Virgin trains.

I didn't think,of that Ana, but in my defence I have no ambitions to be PM so have no need to think of such things as world summits and seats in trains, or should that be no seats on ram packed trains

Ana Mon 05-Sep-16 21:17:17

People have to sit on the floor...perhaps that's why there's a 20% discount.

Anniebach Mon 05-Sep-16 21:13:48

But there are no seats for more people, not on a ram packed train ,

durhamjen Mon 05-Sep-16 21:03:48

No, Branson wants lots of people to use his trains, so he can take the profit offshore and live a better life than any of those who need to use his trains.

Anniebach Mon 05-Sep-16 20:33:02

Perhaps, or perhaps Branson fears a plague of frogs !

Ana Mon 05-Sep-16 20:09:22

Perhaps Virgin trains aren't as 'ram-packed' as Corbyn alleges.

Anniebach Mon 05-Sep-16 20:03:10

I want to know why Branson wouldn't dare cancel cut price tickets

rosesarered Mon 05-Sep-16 19:54:17

What's all this peg on nose stuff about? Is it a new Corbyn driven directive?

Anniebach Mon 05-Sep-16 19:48:11

Is Brasin afraid of the power of Momentum? Must be if he - wouldn't dare

durhamjen Mon 05-Sep-16 19:02:12

They have been offering cutprice tickets since 30th June.
I don't think Branson would dare take the offer down. 20% off.

Anniebach Mon 05-Sep-16 18:59:07

Failed to get Private Eye, who is Anthony Casey?

Anniebach Mon 05-Sep-16 18:57:03

Aw how sweet , so he isn't going to sue Branson

Ana Mon 05-Sep-16 18:42:56

Apparently the Labour Party leadership has sent out a message to it members saying that "Labour has teamed up with Virgin Trains to offer an executive style discount on rail travel to all attendees of Annual Conference Liverpool 2016"!

Must have made up with Branson then! grin

durhamjen Mon 05-Sep-16 18:37:04

Virgin Trains are putting their fares up again. There was a report on the BBC just now, but Virgin would not let the BBC report from York Station.
Since when did Virgin own York Station?

Anniebach Sun 04-Sep-16 22:57:40

Have you found the forum you were thinking of searching for f77,? Where people are more polite?

Anniebach Sun 04-Sep-16 19:45:13

Possibly Ana, or perhaps - it was just a joke !

Ana Sun 04-Sep-16 19:13:07

Probably stops the flow of blood to the brain as well, resulting in confused thought function.

Anniebach Sun 04-Sep-16 19:10:56

Best not to wear a peg on ones nose, if really necessary best remove it before eating

POGS Sun 04-Sep-16 18:56:37

DJ

I haven't a clue what your post to Ana means?

Anniebach Sun 04-Sep-16 18:54:49

Suppose £20,000 is peanuts to the wealthy. Strange to charge a fee to deplore human rights abuses

POGS Sun 04-Sep-16 18:53:54

www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2015/aug/13/jeremy-corbyn-labour-leadership-foreign-policy-antisemitism

Is this link from the Guardian more suitable for you. Or is it more akin to the decent Labour MP's , easy to chuck under the bus for all things Corbyn must only be of the worthy note and dare not be contentious.

By raising the link to the Daily Mail as your problem shows a lack of the ability to engage in debate with posters, that is a point I have mentioned before on threads. This is not only a Daily Mail story it has been spoken of before they ran it.

Ana Sun 04-Sep-16 18:34:35

Talking in riddles again...

Ana Sun 04-Sep-16 18:34:07

I didn't know what? confused

durhamjen Sun 04-Sep-16 18:32:00

A spokesman for Mr Corbyn......etc, is actually a paragraph from POGS' link.
You didn't know, Ana? You don't read POGS' links?
I have a peg on my nose, f77.

Elegran Sun 04-Sep-16 18:31:55

Hmmm. I wonder - should someone who has posted that people are incapable of rational thought also be posting on another thread "I have been looking around for a forum where people are more polite, less argumentative not so self righteous" and so she is thinking of leaving?
