Yesterday in Parliament Conservative Andrew Mitchell brought forward an Emergency Debate on 'Allepo and Syria'.
Boris Johnson was responding to a speech made by Labour MP Anne Clwyd , she said this.

" That is the question: where is the rage? Where are the demonstrations that we have seen on so many previous occasions—I have taken part in them myself—for example on Iraq, East Timor and Cambodia. Where are those demonstrations now? I want to see—I challenge the people listening to this debate—2 million, 3 million or 4 million people outside the Russian embassy day after day. Let us show them what we think of their actions in Syria and their refusal to bring peace to that country. Russia used carpet bombing tactics in Grozny, and we all know what happened there. The west cannot stay silent, because we know how this could end."
"I therefore call once again on everyone who cares about the plight of Syrian civilians to picket the Russian embassy in London and its embassies in capitals around the world from today. Two million, 3 million, 4 million people—it can be done, and it has been done in the past. That should carry on until the bombing campaign stops and all the relevant players are forced to get around the table to end this horrible war."
Boris Johnson
" I listened to the passionate speeches from the right hon. Member for Cynon Valley (Ann Clwyd) and the hon. Member for Wirral South (Alison McGovern), the co-chair of the all-party friends of Syria group, who is carrying on the tradition of Jo Cox, whom we mourn. I listened to all the speeches that made the point that there is no commensurate horror among some of the anti-war protest groups, and I agree with the right hon. Member for Cynon Valley: I would certainly like to see demonstrations outside the Russian embassy. Where is the Stop the War coalition at the moment?"
Yes Johnson said it but the 'context' of why does not sell papers or make headline news for the public I suppose.
It was good to hear and see the courtesy of the debate was upheld by both sides of the house but it was noticeable back bench Labour MP's involved were nowhere near the front bench, in fact there was little love for Emily Thornberry and I think the topic of Defence will continue to divide Labour.
Of course they could be deselected by the next election as they are 'The Naughty Squad' in some Labour Members eyes, the ones called 'Core Group Negative' /'Hostile' on Corbyn's List such as Alison McGovern, John Woodcock, Mary Creagh, Hilary Benn.
Actually Jo Cox was was classed as 'Core Group Negative' and obviously was not a Corbyn backer so I am not surprised her husband has taken up the mantle so to speak on her behalf, indeed as others did yesterday during the debate.
