Well this could be interesting.

Rosie Winterton sacked from Chief Whips position and Nick Brown back in the Cabinet again. Baroness Shami Chakrabarti has done very well since joining Labour she is now Shadow Attorney General and Dianne Abbot Shadow Home Secretary, Dawn Butler Shadow Minority Ethnic Communities, Sarah Champion Shadow Women and Equalities Minister and Jo Stevens Shadow Secretary of State for Wales.

It will be interesting to see if any who signed 'No Confidence' in Corbyn can/will be in Corbyn's reshuffled Cabinet Team. Time for 'Unity'?

Sadly anger has entered the Labour Party since Corbyn became leader, hardly a man of peace is he? Threats of rape, verbal attacks on a Jewish MP, threats to many MP's , strange how his groupies don't listen to his words of peace, to be fair they are few and far between and spoken quietly

rosesarered Tue 11-Oct-16 15:33:11

trisher nobody has to tell you anything at all, about anything! Why continue in this angry vein about NI . It's no secret that Corbyn and friends cosied up to Adams.

trisher Tue 11-Oct-16 15:04:25

Oh so it was just at conference. In that case I 'know' lots of Liberal MPs from when I lobbied their conferences for a charity. Even talked to Danny Alexander (prat) and went to MPs free lunch

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 14:54:15

It is not kind of me to feed your need trisher

trisher Tue 11-Oct-16 14:51:14

But she wouldn't have got anywhere near the IRA Annie if there hadn't already been trust built up between Labour people and the IRA.
Do you really want to go into the history of Ireland, the massacres, the executions, the torture and illegal imprisonment? I just think it is not only silly but counter productive. There are many less publicised incidents much more horrific than the Brighton bombing but it doesn't help to discuss them.
You still haven't told me where you met Mo.

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 14:45:00

Trisher, how childish your post is about Mo rarely coming to Wales, she did and this will surprise you but Labour party conferences are held in England

As you are posting to keep attempting to mock me you are wasting your time , I don't give a fig, I have as much respect for your posts as you have for mine

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 14:39:42

Trisher, Mo didn't condone or condemn either side, she listened and talked to both sides, you are doing her memory a grave injustice by not acknowledging this and comparing her with a long time IRA sympathiser

You refuse to talk about the injured and dead in the Brighton bombing? avoidance?

You claim Corbyn worked for peace in NI and compared him with Mo, yet you ask why should he support one side in the conflict whilst he gave support to the other side, you cannot have peace talks with one side only

trisher Tue 11-Oct-16 14:34:10

It is getting a bit "Lloyd George knew my father" on here.

trisher Tue 11-Oct-16 14:32:23

Interesting I wonder where you met her? she rarely visited Wales.

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 14:29:03

Thank you Jalima, I never expect anyone to agree with me, it is no one's right - well unless it's queenie grin

Twisting words is a sign of desperation in my opinion as replying to a question with a question , avoidance of truth I think

Have fun at the refuse tip, I will cause anger to a poster by explaining I knew Mo Molam , oops

trisher Tue 11-Oct-16 14:08:19

I never said Corbyn supported the Unionists Anniebach Why should he?
Why is it hypocrisy to believe peace can only be achieved if there is open discussion and a recognition that there are issues that will never be resolved? It is about moving forward and not looking at the dreadful things that were done in the past. So all the posting about people who have been injured I refuse to reply to. Continue digging up the past if you wish, in doing so you dishonour the memory of a great woman who would probably have told you to F*****g get on with it.

Jalima Tue 11-Oct-16 13:52:03

anniebach I am not as Christian as you and I do not want to be banned from GN by saying what I think.

Suffice it to say, I respect you for staying true to your beliefs which are ones my DF espoused. I may not agree with you some if the time but your posts are always interestin - and much from your personal experience, not some pundut's views.

It is a pity that some posters take others' words and twist them to contort their meaning - eg If one asks why someone who refuses to condemn bombing should be awarded a peace prize one apparently does not want peace.
Ludicrous

If you mention something someone who is relevant to the thread said to you, you are 'name-dropping'!

Good luck - we're off to the refuse tip!

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 13:48:08

When did Corbyn give support to the Unionists trisher?

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 13:47:07

Mo talked to both sides - big difference

Please do not credit Corbyn with the work of Mo

As a Christian I would have no problem in forgiving Corbyn if he admitted his hypocrisy , he will not, he hides behind so called principles

Did you not feel compassion for Tebbit when he was stretched out of the hotel? I did even though I was angered by his politics , this is my Christianity and it is not for you to question or mock

trisher Tue 11-Oct-16 13:33:00

Mo also upset the Unionists by swearing at them and upset everyone at meetings when she removed her wig. Part of her peace process was visiting the hunger strikers and 'dirty' prisoners in prison. If it hadn't been for people like Corbyn it is highly unlikely they would even have talked to her. It was the left wing of the Labour Party who kept communication open.
Anniebach aren't you a Christian and isn't there something about loving your neighbour? And isn't your neighbour the Samaritan who most people think of as the enemy? Just asking?

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 13:26:04

Mo angered the IRA and the catholic community by allowing the unionist march through Drumcree

She became involved with NI when she became shadow secretary and then Secretary of State fir NI, the peace talks were underway

Corbyn invited IRA leaders to Westminster shortly after the Brighton bombing , he attended the annual memorial tribute to Sands and all dead IRA members,

He was on the editorial board of a magazine ehich caused much anger when it printed the following jokes! Following the Brighton bombing -

What do you call four dead Tories ? A start . And on Tebbit who was stretched out of the hotel - now ride your bike Norman

And trisher you compare him with Mo? Is there no attempt of defence you will not stoop to to defend that man

Mo worked with all sides for peace, your hero fully supported the IRA

trisher Tue 11-Oct-16 13:19:52

If it is wrong that 1 person didn't condemn IRA atrocities is it then OK that someone else didn't? Where I come from that is known as double standards, but if you are happy to have them I suppose that is OK. Personally I support anyone who recognises that there were horrors and atrocities committed by all parties in the N. Ireland conflict (including the British Gov). Accepting this and moving forward is what a peace agreement is about. Dragging up old animosities is what perpetuates conflict.

Jalima Tue 11-Oct-16 12:48:55

I see what you mean anniebach

Ridiculous is too mild a word for some posts

trisher Tue 11-Oct-16 12:37:11

Mo Mowlam also refused to condemn the IRA atrocities and built the Good Friday agreement are you both suggesting that we would be much better off without it?

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 12:16:02

Thank you Jalima , just what I need smile , it has taken months for the penny to drop angry

Jalima Tue 11-Oct-16 12:06:24

The Ghandian Peace Award?
For someone who consistently refused to condemn the IRA atrocities?
That is beyond ironic

anniebach have a brew

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 09:05:36

Petra , my Christian love is hitting an all time low ?

I am so angry with myself , taking all the put downs and only just realised from a source who is not a long time member of the party , who wasn't a member in the eighties , who doesn't even know the politics of George .galloway

Think I should change my user name to Aunt Saly, oh I am stupid m grrrrr

f77ms Tue 11-Oct-16 09:02:29

Petra grin

petra Tue 11-Oct-16 08:57:05

Anniebach what will some people do for entertainment if you leave this thread? As a Christian woman I'm sure you wouldn't want to deprive them of this grin

Anniebach Tue 11-Oct-16 08:35:25

I had left this thread but thinking of all the that has been said something suddenly clicked, Jen you claim to have been a long time party member, yet you didn't know Hatton and .galloway are not members of the party
