Another Boris gaffe

Freudian (spelling?) slip obviously, probably meant 'gigantic'. I don't think it is very funny though, this is our country's future they are all playing with here. He is an idiot (putting it politely!)

I've just heard Alan Bennett asking how can Paul Merton and Ian Hislop sit on the same panel with people like Boris, Farage et al, as though they're harmless buffoons, when they're not. (But he said it better than that, obviously.)

Boris lives a charmed life, so he would no doubt be ready for any rebellion ( possibly knock them out with a Cornish pastie.)

I don't think May finds Boris very amusing going by the barbed comment she made to him apropos Heseltine's dog.

I do know the meaning of the word titanic, but I find find his choice of it in this context amusing. Probably well chosen too to get a response.Also, I don't doubt his intelligence as I have seen the difficult Latin entrance exam that he had to sit and pass as a young boy.

Not sure who finds him amusing though. I expect Boris finds himself amusing, he certainly acts as if he does.

It depends on how you hear / read / perceive his meaning I suppose.

Some obviously find the use of the word 'titanic' amusing because they visualise or immediately think of the sinking of the 'Titanic'. Boris is fair play to be 'the butt of a joke' , never given credence of having any intellect, a fool.

Others will hear / read / perceive his words in the literal meaning .

Strong, extremely powerful, important, immense, great in ability of strength etc. etc. etc.

Either way you perceive it he is likely to find amusement in his choice of words/gaffe and won't be wounded by it.
