It depends on how you hear / read / perceive his meaning I suppose.
Some obviously find the use of the word 'titanic' amusing because they visualise or immediately think of the sinking of the 'Titanic'. Boris is fair play to be 'the butt of a joke' , never given credence of having any intellect, a fool.
Others will hear / read / perceive his words in the literal meaning .
Strong, extremely powerful, important, immense, great in ability of strength etc. etc. etc.
Either way you perceive it he is likely to find amusement in his choice of words/gaffe and won't be wounded by it.
