These are some nominations.
Who would you choose from the list?

Farage is an innocent compared to Corbyn , he hasn't the slyness of Corbyn .

daphnedill Fri 06-Jan-17 08:52:13

I disagree with you.

Farage is IMHO a hypocrite and I consider him to be a worthy winner. [grim] grin grin

I did not say the thread deserved no consideration. It has triggered an interesting discussion. I said a discussion about the names on the list that triggered the discussion were not worth wasting any time on because the behaviour that led to the blogger putting them on the list were not examples of hypocrisy, a word he clearly doesn't understand the meaning of.

On the other hand there has been an interesting discussion about the extent that Jeremy Corbyn, who may in every other facet of his personality be a sea green incorruptible, to be held up as an example to children for generations to come, but is undoubtedly a hypocrite

Really, MOnica? A different definition of fun to mine, then. I can have fun wherever I find it, even on political threads on GN.
I find it quite fun that there are over two hundred posts on a thread that you think deserves 'no serious consideration from anyone.'

nightowl Thu 05-Jan-17 23:08:50

I thought it was supposed to be communists who were humourless wink

M0nica Thu 05-Jan-17 22:35:36

You can't have fun when it is based on a false premise.

durhamjen Thu 05-Jan-17 21:35:28

A bit of fun, Monica. Remember that?

M0nica Thu 05-Jan-17 20:23:23

Some political bloggers, whatever their political leanings, are informed and talk with knowledge and understanding on political matters - even if I do not agree with the conclusions they reach.

Some like this one, display such ignorance that their views do not deserve any serious consideration from anyone.

Well, certainly not exit ones! grin

Ana Thu 05-Jan-17 16:37:00

I thought you'd already told us the result of this silly poll. Oh well, soon be time for the 2017 one...

Anniebach Thu 05-Jan-17 16:05:33

Nooooo ?Rosesarered, not you, Eleothan spoke of the Attlee government

Ana Thu 05-Jan-17 15:26:57

Eloethan brought him into it earlier on, roses.

rosesarered Thu 05-Jan-17 15:25:46

I don't put credence into any political blogger....they all have big axes to grind.

rosesarered Thu 05-Jan-17 15:24:22

I don't know enough about him to bring him into it.

rosesarered Thu 05-Jan-17 15:23:11

Attlee? ab?

M0nica Thu 05-Jan-17 15:08:38

Can one have any credence in a political blogger, regardless of his political leanings, who produces a list of what he defines as political hypocrites because of actions they have taken, which may be politically heinous, but are not hypocrisy.

He clearly lacks the education to know what hypocrisy and a hypocrite is. I can only presume that any other comments he makes will be equally ill-informed.

His blog is OK for starting off an interesting discussion, but I wouldn't waste any of my time bothering to comment on those named on his list, because I seem to remember that with one possible exception, none of those on his list were actually hypocrites.

Anniebach Thu 05-Jan-17 11:51:03

Rosesarered, I think bringing Attllee into it is silly, the country had come through a world war , this election was sooooo different to others, and seems it is forgotten labour was in oposition for thirteen years after Attlee

Anniebach Thu 05-Jan-17 11:44:28

The thread should have been headed biggest Tory political hypocrite 2016 and included Neil Hamilton

POGS Thu 05-Jan-17 11:35:29

The question was asked, answers were given.

It was never going to please everybody but that was the probable nature of the question in the first place due to the question so obviously being a candidate for contention.

What did we expect when we got involved, names that we agree with only.

rosesarered Thu 05-Jan-17 11:28:26

Well, there you have it! grin
ab your post of 10:17:27. ......almost spat my mouthful of tea out.grin

Ana Thu 05-Jan-17 11:11:54

A poll from Vox Political - left wing of course!

Anniebach Thu 05-Jan-17 10:46:03

A poll listing three Tories and one UKIP?

No libs, no labour, no greens, no SNP, no Plaid, not one of the NI parties , a little , teeny bit biased possibly
