Typos - please excuse
Why doesn't Starmer hold another referendum?
Trump will be inaugurated in 16 days time. Ford has recognised this new era.
How will his Junta of advisors deal with the political world?
Will Trump continue to govern by twitter?
Will his erratic behaviour stop?
Will he be less muddled in his thinking?
What will happen to NATO and article 5?
Will the world survive his environmental policy - such that it is?
Will America be able to contain him?
Typos - please excuse
He could find Scotland a bit difficult to annexe. He is not exactly top of the hit parade with either the people or the parliament.
Would that make a difference?
What he wants he seems to get - for the time being at least. And his lack of popularity and the fact he has been thwarted will make him more determined.
Of course, he could be too busy in the coming years to remember Scotland.
Watch the tweets for further information.
^He could follow the example of totalitarian leaders throughout the ages, and be his own secret service - leaders like Stalin, Hitler, Chairman Mao, were absolute rulers with as much power as any bloodthirsty medieval king, even if they kept up a pretence that they were doing the will of the people. They ruled by fear so they did not trust anyone. They spied on everyone, they spied on the spies in their spy networks, they had personal spies reporting directly to them, they appointed their own close family and cronies to oversee the running of the country but didn't even trust them and were quick to have them removed and executed on the least suspicion.
^
Thank you for explaining that. I did not have a clue what you meant earlier.
^He seems to be the only voice crying out that they are up to no good. I don't understand what you find difficult about that. If the secret service are up to no good, then other voices will be heard.
^
Pretty sure you are wrong about that. I will have to google.
^He has been known to tell lies in the past, and change his story later It is a matter of record that he told lies publicly on various occasions and later claimed that he did not say that. A liar is a liar and a leopard doesn't chage its spots^
Not sure where he has told lies, but I will take your word for that.
A liar is a liar and a leopard doesn't chage its spots
Badly wrong, and the wrong attitude in life.
I was thinking of the OP's last question - will America be able to contain him?
Let's hope so, perhaps if he builds walls on every border (difficult but not impossible) they will serve to keep him in as well as those dratted foreigners out.
I just put 'Trump lies' into Google. Unfortunately, I don't have the next week or so to read all the results. If you've missed even a fraction of them ankers I don't know how.
Are you retired ankers?
^A liar is a liar and a leopard doesn't chage its spots

Saul on his way to Damascus was struck down by a great light and heard God say "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" and from that moment he changed his name to Paul and went from persecuting Christians to becoming the most fervent follower.
I reckon it would take a similarly dramatic conversion to change Trump's personality, but I don't hold out much hope of it happening.
And until it does, I don't believe everything he says.
Not sure where he has told lies, but I will take your word for that
Are you serious, Ankers? What about saying Obama was a closet Muslim and not born in the US?
As I have said, his lies are in the public domain, there are video clips to prove he said things which he has subsequently denied or dismissed as "locker room banter".
Are you his one-woman UK fan club? I say UK because there are plenty of Southern Republican ladies who seem perfectly happy with a "pussy grabbing" POTUS.
Oh dreadful prospect of when he presumably will have to visit us in the U.K. ?God Save the Queen.
I wonder if Philip would punch him on the nose?
The American ethics committee won't accept his attempts at fooling people that he has arranged his business affairs so that he is now hands off, that there couldn't possibly be a conflict of interest.
So if he has secret information about something that is being planned that will directly affect one of his businesses somewhere in the world that he wont tip off his sons!
Not even remotely credible.
Unfortunately, there seem to be a number of Northern rust belt men, who don't seem to mind having their wives'/girlfriends' pussies grabbed either. :-(
True dd says much about their attitudes to women too. Sometimes I do wonder what century some people live in.
I wonder how many conversations are being had like this all over the world?
I cannot think of anything positive to say about this dreadful man. He does not have a clue about leading a country and we can only stand back quietly despairing.
Nothing is going to make this better, unless he dies of natural causes; assassination would unleash mayhem.
I posted a quote from Leona Helmsly some time back... she was the one who said that only little people paid taxes (she owned a lot of NYC property).
She said she would not trust anything that Trump said even if he had his tongue notarised!
His lies are that he said things about his own fellow Republicans that were disgusting and blatant lies. He called them all liars...all the time at the debates.
He lied that he did not grab or grope women, then it comes out on tape.
He should be afraid as this could well be true...only time will tell.
Yankee here again. What many of us fear over here is that Trump, like a child, enjoys retaliating when someone says something he doesn't like. Some of you mentioned his tweeting as if he were a six year old. Revenge is his game. I won't diagnose him but say he has numerous narcissistic characteristics. We also fear his Vice President Pence whose policies in his state were horrible. He had many anti gay agendas and was not a supporter of women's rights.
I see that many are confused about our electoral college. Every state gets so many electoral votes for president. It is all based on population of that state. This more populated states get more electoral votes and whoever wins the popular vote gets all the electoral votes for that state. So if my state gets 30 electoral votes and Trump won the popular vote in my state, he takes all 30 of the electoral votes. It took 270 electoral votes to win this year. I hope this helps clear up any questions . My wish is that we do away with this sushtem.
Sorry system
Rhinestone totally agree about the electoral college!
I liked 'sushtem' - it sounds kinda drunk and crazy!
Is there any mechanism to change to electoral college system?
Ooops! I meant 'change the electoral college system'.
I don't like Trump or Clinton but I agree with Ankers on one thing, if I have not mistaken what he/she is trying to say.
If you are prepared to sit back , read, listen, watch unverified links, stories and base your knowledge on nothing that can be proven you are doing so because you happily accept anything that puts a person in a bad light. It is a sad day when the hatred/dislike of a person, organisation, political party etc. means not caring or bothering to know the truth.
I have banged on about Fake News and the ease with which people, posters on GN , the media accept any old rubbish that is spouted and at times is proven to be downright lies.
I do not have any interest in defending Trump , he may well be guilty . All I know is until there is hard evidence I for one will not form an opinion as to his guilt or innocence , as I would hope I would feel over any other individual , even those I too dislike. The truth could be known by teatime today for all I know or anybody else for that matter and then I will be informed.
The world of politics is a dirty place at times and trying to take out your opposition, smearing their reputation is nothing new. The Bush controversy over his Military Service is an example.
Trump is as bad as any other but I take no bloody notice of some his twaddle either. It is just plain stupid to believe all you hear and read that's all I am saying but Fake News is a curse and dangerous and there should be proper legislation to deal with those who at present get away with it.
I watched a hell of a lot of respected journalists interviewed yesterday and not one of them said they would have published what Buzzfeed and CNN wrote, this was not knew to some of them. They said it could not be substantiated and they had tried in some cases.
It will be interesting to see who, what, where the truth lies that's for sure.

Oh my... a golden shower on the Obamas' bed in the Moscow Ritz Carlton?

hmm
Against my better judgement I looked but either the link you put up is in correct or it has been removed from the web. Given the 'plot' and the obvious salacious nature of gossip behind it I would suspect it may have been removed.
Can you provide evidence to the story Lewlew as you obviously believe it to be true or a link that works.
But, but, but...people have been believing any old rubbish for the last year at least! Facts have fallen on deaf ears.
I seriously don't know what to make of the latest allegations, which is why I haven't commented. I don't know whether to laugh, cry, scream or run for the nearest bunker.
Even without these 'leaks'. I'm stunned by Trump's victory and subsequent staff appointments. Quite honestly, I don't think the allegations add much more to my incredulity.
POGs, I posted a link which did work - not sure where it is now.
