Watched May on the news last night. Found it all toe curlingly embarrassing. Talk about unseemly haste. So we loose 30% of our trade with the EU and possibly get an extra 2% from the USA. In return we will have to accept their crap meat and open our NHS to their pharmaceutical industry - aren't ours good enough!!!??

We don't know what we will be accepting as yet, and as for 'crap meat' the best meat we have ever had was American ( they don't live on minced meat there.)

Why on earth did she have to congratulate Trump on his 'stunning victory' which was nothing of the sort. She must know as well as anyone that in the popular vote he was 3 million votes short of Hillary. Surely she doesn't have it in her to speak 'tongue in cheek'?

um, she does want to trade with the EU but as we are on the way out we have to build up our own trade agreements with many countries instead of trading with them as part of the EU

She will have her own opinion of him but has to work with him amicably for all our sakes.

She has told him firmly where we stand on interfering in other countries' internal affairs, unlike puppet Blair with Bush.

It's not so much the Trump statements that make my blood boil - though they're bad enough.

It's the unseemly haste that May has desperately gone to the USA to seek some kind of ally. I mean less than a week after his inauguration - was it to stop Farage getting in their first, or even Paul Nutall from UKIP?

Her reckless speed in dashing over to Washington is a great benefit to a man who believes torture works, but smacks of cosying up to the playground bully.

On top of which the media are likening her to that dreadful Thatcher woman - maybe that's a sign of selling off what remains of Britain to the USA.
