I thought I would put this on the News and Politics thread because it may be of interest to many people:

Jalima Thu 02-Feb-17 18:06:00

So sorry,
how very silly of me

rosesarered Thu 02-Feb-17 18:10:44

grin lovely!

Rigby46 Thu 02-Feb-17 18:11:09

There's a word, well two actually, used on MN to describe your post - GFery. Best to leave you with the stray kitten methinks

Jalima Thu 02-Feb-17 18:16:32

I have no idea what it means but it is probably rude.

It's a long way to go to adopt it from Turkey although I may be over there later in the year.

Rigby46 Thu 02-Feb-17 18:29:38

I'm asking GNHQ to move this thread to Games ( as they don't have a GFery forum)

Jalima Thu 02-Feb-17 18:34:42

It is quite sweet and enjoyable I thought.

You can ask GNHQ to move it if you wish but it is not a game, it is news.

Juggernaut Thu 02-Feb-17 19:37:06

I too think it's a cute and enjoyable bit of 'news' and we certainly need something to generally lighten the mood lately!
I'm also quite sure that it's not a 'game'!

Ana Thu 02-Feb-17 19:40:38

Beats me why some Mumsnetters bother coming on to GN if they're just going to carp about stuff that we grans post!

f77ms Thu 02-Feb-17 19:47:11

Yes Ana that occurred to me too . Nice little bit of News Jalima x

MawBroon Thu 02-Feb-17 19:53:02

@Rigby whatever it means, perhaps your superior comment might be better posted elsewhere.
It is all too rare for a news item to raise a smile these days - no need for anybody to be such a BM
(Bl**dy misery)

f77ms Thu 02-Feb-17 20:00:06

Mawbroon grin

Jane10 Thu 02-Feb-17 20:02:39

Quite right MawBroon!

nanaK54 Thu 02-Feb-17 20:05:54

Well for what it's worth I think that was just lovely, thank you for sharing Jalima

Elegran Thu 02-Feb-17 20:24:41

This topic is called "NEWS and politics" Not everything in the news is political and deadly serious. This is not - but it is in the news. Why be bitchy? A spillover from another thread perhaps? Is it impossible to argue hotly on one thread without carrying it over to another?

I suspect that kitten was smuggled into the newsroom by someone who had had enough of the deadly serious stuff that threatens to engulf us all.

Deedaa Thu 02-Feb-17 20:28:45

Hmm, Trump, Boris or kitten - which would you prefer? grin I love the fact that cats anywhere automatically lie on keyboards.

Shestheone Thu 02-Feb-17 20:56:12

jalima Loved this, thanks for taking the time to share and make others smile smile

deedaa cats and keyboards - how true! I work from home and often have to carry on a professional conversation on the phone whilst trying to quietly shove a stubborn cat off my laptop grin

rosesarered Thu 02-Feb-17 22:07:32

Keyboards are warm! All cats like

Jalima Thu 02-Feb-17 23:23:54

I am not really a 'cat' person but kittens are lovely and this one just seemed to take over!

PRINTMISS Fri 03-Feb-17 08:34:46

What a lovely way to start the day, a happy story! Cheers, thanks Jalima

ninathenana Fri 03-Feb-17 08:43:39

Can anyone other than the op ask for a post to be moved to another forum confused I didn't think so, and can't think of any reason why a GNer would.

This is news , old news (saw it on FB weeks ago) maybe but hey.

Jalima Mon 06-Feb-17 12:23:28

I'm not sure, I just asked GN to move a newcomer's post to a new thread because it was tagged onto the end of an old one and people may miss it. We shall see smile

Yes, it was quite an old news item but still going round on FB

Elrel Mon 06-Feb-17 13:15:48

Deedaa. All three lie automatically!!

Jalima Mon 06-Feb-17 14:06:17

In any particular order Deedaa?
on a scale of 1-10, 1 being adore, 10 being dislike intensely

nigglynellie Mon 06-Feb-17 14:21:20

Cats rule, no doubt about it!!!
