Tone didn't listen to all of us who were opposed to the Iraq war but he's now developed a "listening" ear it seems. Yes he has the right to express an opinion, but why does he think he should be the one to spearhead this campaign he's yesterday's man, and a discredited one at that.

He can say what he likes. Does he deserve to be given the media attention that he's been given? No. Should we listen to him? No again.

He has a right to say what he wishes - as annie points out, we have free speech. But he gives me the creeps.

I too was pleased when Blair won the election - how soon I was disillusioned along with thousands of others.

OK here I go head over the parapet - I don't usually join in the political debates. I like TB, it was once of the happiest days of my life when he entered No 10, the sun shone and the Tories were gone Bliss. BUT I agree shut up and butt out Tone- enough is enough.

I agree with you about the useless Labour leader. However, I do think some Labour MPs are between a rock and a hard place. I think (could be wrong) that 70% of Labour MPs are in constituencies which voted Leave. If they carry on supporting Remain, they'll be accused of not listening to democracy and the will of the people.

Boris Johnson has now criticised Blair for insulting the will of the electorate. Quite frankly, pots and kettles come to mind.

Brown spoke eloquently and convincingly before the Scottish Referendum, I wonder if Tone will be inviting him to join him on his "stump"?

The really annoying thing is he's saying what no one else is, although clearly what a not inconsiderable number are thinking.

I would imagine if TB had planned on having his own battlebus, the Remain campaign would have punctured its tyres.

Blair is (no sniggering at the back) an intelligent man, and if he feels so strongly about this why wasn't he out there with his own battlebus in the run up to the referendum?
That sneaky voice at the back of my mind whispers he was waiting to see which way the wind blew then what's in it for Tone.
I am NOT advocating that we all roll over and have our tummies tickled by Theresa May and David Davies, (except those who got the result they voted for - their choice) yes oppose, debate, do whatever is possible to rescue something from this fiasco, but for TB to wait until now no launch his "crusade" smacks of a not very carefully hidden agenda.

Being right is no longer good enough. Politicians have to understand the psychology of voters and use emotive arguments.

I think he was being thoroughly irresponsible to advise people to rise up and fight Brexitt - has he not spotted all the nastiness there is around without encouraging more?

No he didn't get paid for that. But anyway, I really don't understand what he's playing at with this speech. He just seems so disconnected from reality and how people feel about him, so irrelevant.
