As an arch REMOANER I for one (of many) will not simply roll over and say that is that. As things progress at the very least parliament must ensure that the country does not Brexit in a bad way because of "The Will of the People". So many lies were told by both side at the time of referendum that when the full facts come to light a re-think should be considered.
I have yet to hear a sound reason for voting LEAVE. Of course the EU is far from perfect but we are better trying to change it from within than sniping from outside. A general election or second referendum before the point of absolute no return.
I happen to be visiting Brussels on an educational trip after Easter so until then I will put up and shut up unless really provoked.
At least three from Germany.
I pride myself as being part of a very fair nation, we want out of a club full of power hungry greedy dictators. I've never heard of any club wanting members to keep paying once left or paying a fee to leave, have you? More and more the dictators of the EU are showing their true colours, if the likes of jen et al cannot see this then maybe a move to Brussels or yes, even Scotland could be answer for her.

people like you that cannot accept living in a democratic society
People are concerned at the prospect of living in a UK which has become a completely undemocratic one party state with a leader who has no interest in Parliamentary democracy.
Which doesn't mean they should go elsewhere; they are perfectly entitled to stay and fight for a principle established over hundreds of years.
A one party state which kicks people out for not agreeing with them is absolutely not democratic.
That's odd because Scotland has been told that if it leaves the UK it will still be liable for a share of the UK's debt.
Debt that Scottish MPs have had very little say in building up.
Is it not a very similar situation?
My post was to saak and nn ^
saak sorry to upset you but we do have contributors from as far afield as America and Australia.
I have posted from Australia myself very occasionally (although no-one answered because it was the middle of the night).
You can even post from Scotland
For the time being at least
Same answer to you djen, if saak goes away to wherever she can still post
Unless it is North Korea

Nothing to do with a 'fee to leave"
I heard something today on the radio about the debt.
Apparently a lot of it is a legal commitment to pay towards various EU projects which the UK had signed up for.
We don't have any debt with the EU. We "paid subscription fees" over and beyond, we were very generous. A lot of these "projects" should never and will never come to fruition. I get that we honour certain committed obligations but in law these are offset by other payments already made.
The EU stand to loose far more by us leaving hence the vitriol.
Jalima, I just told her to go away. I didn't tell her to get out of the country.
Stop being such a naysayer jen.
and me!!
but I am still here too
any manifestos yet? Have been too busy to notice.
Somewhere more in line with my views, eh?
I think I'll stay and annoy people instead.

Up to you jen. Guess we all have to put up with some that have failure inbuilt.
Do you expect the EU to pay out the subsidies to various UK projects till 2020 SAAK ? They have agreed to that and UK has committed to paying to other schemes - balancing the books will need to be done. The last thing the UK can do is to not fulfill obligations if it wishes to have trading agreements with any country in the future. Even if you have Sky contract you have to pay so much before you can stop the contract and some phone contracts are similar - a contract is fulfilling obligations you have agreed to.
The benefits the UK gained in contracts and work with other countries outweighed the money we paid in - as the UK will unfortunately will find out when so many businesses need to relocate some or all of their business inside the EU and other contracts will not be renewed when they come to an end.
Jen, do you actually believe that the over inflated bigwigs of the EU are behaving correctly? I know you keep presenting one sided "links" but do you have a view on their bullying tactics at all? Or do you admire how they are handling things?
T May and co are the ones who started it. Wanting their cake and eating it. Insisting on playing by the rules isnt bullying.
Started what? As a nation we have decided to get out of the EU. That is our prerogative and one which our democratic vote stated. What rules? No one can leave? Are they the "rules"? Thank god we had the insight back then not to enter into the euro. Does that not tell you something?
The 'Bigwigs' as you are referring to them have a very responsible job. Generally speaking they manage in a very civilised way.
They have been very successful at fulfilling their main objective which was to keep the countries from going to war with each other and remain on the same side.
For hundreds of years there was a war going on across some of Europe and they were very destructive to people's lives as well as countries.
A lot of leeway can be given for accomplishing that which is no mean feat.
There is very little democratic about how government is being run and it's becoming less democratic by the day.
Democracy is about more than putting a cross in a box. That was the easy bit.
Wake up and smell the coffee!
Oh for goodness sake, stop it with the clichés. We'll vote as we think fit.
Is it 'bullying' saak to say that you need assurances about your citizen's rights and about the borders between countries? Or to present a bill to someone who wants to terminate a contract asking for payment for projects they have democratically agreed to?
With respect daphne. "People" are not fools or do you think the normal every day person is? Which seems to be what you are saying. Democracy is about a blanket vote which was in favour of getting out of the EU. Are you trying to say that normal every day people should not be given the vote? How derogatory is that.
When did i say that certain things would not be honoured Trisher? I said that there is a fair deal to be had here. Have you ever been in some overbearing supposed "contract" for years that doesn't work and want to get out of it? There will be things put in place in a very fair and reasonable future way. It's time to cut the ties of dictatorship and some overbearing psychophonic club is not the way to go.
