St. Petersburg Bombing

Yes, the bomb in St Petersburg another awful episode of innocent people caught up in acts of terror.

Saw the reporting from the UN on tv today, very interesting.Russians blustering and blaming all but themselves, ditto Syria,but a wonderful ( and damning of them) speech by the US.

That means that Russia probably still has a large stockpile of chemical weapons.

The Russians are believed to have carried out the attacks, so apologies for previous post, but Russia and Assad are allies. As far as I can tell, Assad hasn't complained to Russia.

Sorry, this is off-topic. I suspect there's going to be much more trouble in the future in Russia and the former Soviet states. There are already British troops in Estonia, as part of a NATO mission, Sweden has voted to reintroduce conscription and the situation in Ukraine is still very unsettled.

I heard a Syrian government spokesman on the radio this afternoon, didn't get his name as I was driving, but denying it was the government who carried out the attack.

And then the Syrian government allegedly bombed the hospital where the victims of the chemical attack were being treated.

I'd love to see the Croydon attackers parachuted into Syria.

Oh dear, and on it goes! When will all this carnage end?. I have to be honest North Korea is making me feel ever so slightly twitchy!

Nowhere is safe

There has been a chemical attack in Idlib too, many killed including small children. These could be people who may have been refugees from other areas of Syria.
