All this negative press about rail operators could just be a load of bullocks.

nigglynellie Sun 16-Apr-17 15:26:15

Certainly gives a new meaning to being herded onto a train!

Good punning grans!!
I did think it might be the usual Southern Rail bullshit.

Yes we were, phoenix! But big pats on the back to the railway workers who had to deal with the crazy cows!

river, were you "friesan" while you were waiting? wink

Thanks for a good laugh MawBroon. I know people on Southern Rail have complained about being treated like cattle, never thought it could be the other way round.
Must be a joke about cowmmuters there somewhere.

The herd had probably heard that the carriages were a load of cattle trucks.

"excuse us, thought Hever was pronounced heifer", they clearly weren't cowed by their experience.

ninathenana Sun 16-Apr-17 09:06:58

This was on my local BBC news. According to their report the cows were originally on the tracks and they managed to get them onto the platform.
As you say maw a little light relief smile

Haha, standing room only?

Riverwalk Sun 16-Apr-17 07:56:38

Udderly hilarious!

I sent this to a friend in the US. A few years ago we visited Hever Castle, Anne Boleyn's childhood home, mistimed our return train and sat for an hour at that station - cows on the platform would have made a welcome distraction from the wind and cold!

How bizarre! Tee hee!
