Andy was having a meal with some close supporters in a Manchester restaurant. There are plenty of photos of him having a great time. I don't suppose he was bothered. He probably would have found it embarrassing to turn up anyway.

To get back to the elections. What a snub for Andy, appointed mayor, great celebrations and the party leader shows up as they do.

But this leader didn't tell the newly elected mayor he was to visit but did mail a momentum group to inform them, it certainly was a good move for the cameras, a crowd of supporters yelling Jeremy and Jeremy beaming. But no mayor who has campaigned daily for so long .

I believe the comment related to the amount of support for UKIP in the area, which had surprised her. It was not a derogatory comment about UKIP supporters themselves - that was the spin the media (especially the Sun) put on it.

What are you saying about it and your view of a house with the flag of St George on it in your attempt to get May elected? That can be the only reason for going on, and on, and on about this photo. The right are using it to put down someone on the left and you are now on that side, obviously. You will get your wish. May will get a landslide.

How many houses in Rochester ? Why choose a house draped in the flags of St.George which whilst being the English flag has been used by and reminds many of the BNP and football fan brawls . So again why did she choose that one house?

Those that made the accusations of snobbery had a vested interest in discrediting the left. If it had been posted by a right wing newspaper, for instance, with the innocuous comment "Image from Rochester", it would have aroused no comment whatsoever.

The 'image from Rochester' was quite obviously posted to show what Thornberry thought of the inhabitants of that particular house ( and maybe of Rochester) you just can't get away with that if you are a politician.
