Statement of intent not the manifesto
1. Reverse the cut in corporation tax saving £64bn over the parliamentary cycle
2£10 minimum wage for all over 18s
3. 17% rise in unpaid farmers allowance (exrea £500 pa) - paid by reversing the Inheritance Tax cut.
4. Renationalise railways as the franchises lapse
5. Stop NHS private contracts. Phase out existing private contracts thus saving 3.5bn - 5bn at present going as profit to the private health companies

Then perhaps Corbyn should go live in Norway.
This is the UK, not Germany, not Norway and why compare the uk with countries in the EU, we are getting out and have to accept it, Corbyn said so.
It is strange that we see so much bile poured on the Labour manifesto suggestions when, as you say whitewave, some of them are very much mainstream in many countries. Germany is a good example; you would think people could relate to that but there are others and I rather think Corbyn would be seen as very much middle of the road in a country like Norway for instance which, as it is run as a parliamentary representative democratic constitutional monarchy, could hardly come into the 'communist' box.
What doesn't seem to be understood is how far, even some Labour voters, have moved to the right.
You can promise any sort of tosh when not in a winning position.
That made me laugh!
You can also promise any sort of tosh when you're in a winning position.
It's just a question of whose tosh fools the most people.
Strong and Stable,Strong and Stable, Strong and Stable, Strong and Stable, Strong and Stable,Strong and Stable,Strong and Stable TOSH
Try again.
Do you know what 'communist' means, Beam
Can you define it for me because I don't think we have a common understanding of the term?
I think the battle has really commenced now with the 'leaked' LP manifesto. Leaked on purpose at this time perhaps?
I doubt it Ginny but who knows? There seems to be little interest in it either on here or on the news programmes as there seems to be nothing particularly unexpected. The vote is on it today and we will get the real thing which people will no doubt create more chatter.
You can promise any sort of tosh when not in a winning position.
If Communism broke down in Russia, why should it resurge here? Very odd. No doubt Momentum (who are gutless for trying to gain power on Labour's coat-tails) are calling the shots.
What hope of trade with America and the World from this position?
Another attempt at political suicide. Labour - please sort out this mess you are in.
But not what posters here imagine Whitewave, I long for a fairer society but just cannot be bothered with all the clap trap of free music for all.
Do you actually know what 'communist' means, Beam?
Hardly Utopia, but not the dystopia of poverty for disabled, food banks and privatised health care
I think a little bit of perspective is needed here.
Germany has one of world's most successful mixed economies, with a strong welfare state, nationalised transport, and well on the way to nationalising its banks.
Industrial relationships are strong with clear emphasis on collective bargaining.
It's economy is one of the world's strongest.
That is the sort of utopia Corbyn is imagining.
Just need to win the election and we will all live in utopia
A bit like heaven? Unfortunately, life is harder. Labour's last suicide note. Going Communist for broke.
Have read it now and everything in this leaked document should be in any decent government's manifesto of whatever political persuasion, unless it doesn't believe that all of its citizens (and animals) deserve to live with dignity.
Daphne, you claimed no tuition fees, free school meals fir all, reduced class sizes, free music lessons for all children, were affordable and we had them in 2007 . Now you tell me I don't understand something.

Noam Chomsky ww
.
He blames partly our extremely hostile media, and partly JC's personal style which he perceives as possibly not fitting the current mood of the electorate.
He said there were a lot of factors involved, but thought that Labour would not be trailing so heavily in the polls if Corbyn had fairer treatment from the media. It's here if you wish to read it.
www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/may/10/labour-partys-future-lies-with-momentum-says-noam-chomsky
He's in England at the moment and was interviewed by the Guardian, so he's not pontificating from afar.
You started your business very young, gillybob if you know what it was like in the 70s.
gilly where in the leaked manifesto is there such plans for SMEs?
Apprentices are your life blood.
There has never been a single instant where a company has left the U.K. when Labour has come into power
Look at the economic record of the Tories - far worse than Labour so your fears are utterly unfounded I am afraid.
The big firms won't need to pay the little firms promptly DJ because if JC gets his way there will be no little firms left. Small businesses make up the greatest proportion of private sector jobs in this country and JC seems hell bent on sending them to the wall in order to keep his precious unite supporters happy. Can you explain to me how SME's are expected to pay more tax, more vat, £10 an hour minimum wage, (that will include apprentices who give nothing back btw) inflated job tax (employers NI) increased rates, vat, corporation tax and whatever else he can dream up. They will be forced to increase their prices massively and cut jobs. One of the large companies we work for is already talking about moving out of the country if the LP get into power. Leaving everyone back where they started or worse, standing in the dole queue. 1970's here we come.
Naomi Chomsky - there's a blast from the past!!!!!!- has come out in favour of Corbyn.
He likens him to Sanders in his policies, but says he's quiet, reserved, serious and not a performer.
They're not the other side of the rainbow. They used to happen!
annie You don't appear to understand how music lessons in schools are provided - or, at least, were provided until local authorities were abolished.
Peripatetic music teachers, Annie. Our County has a Music Service. They employ peripatetic music teachers and loan instruments. I don't think lessons have to be paid for but I will check. They were certainly free when my children were at school, but that was 30 years ago.
