I suspect the Tory election policy is do be like Brer Rabbit. Lie low and watch the others scrabble for credibility.
Corbyn is the real liability for the LP. We all know it. Until he goes, Labour will not be taken seriously. Even the Daily Mirror has sidelined Labour to a small side section of it's front page, preferring to headline Madeleine McCann.
So all of Labour's election manifesto will be drowned because of their inability to get rid of a weak leader.

My view is that a bigger majority for the Tories may give more stable government. However as a minority of the electorate normally vote Tory the government will be resented. The Tories will most likely be the largest group in parliament but if they don't have an overall majority they will have to listen to others. That is where the Lib Dems, SNP, Labour and even UKIP can hold them to account, that is democracy.

The important thing is to vote for your chosen candidate as it is only by voting that you can make a difference. Too many citizens simply don't vote.

iam64. Yes I noticed that. But apparently there is a thought that May will make the Tories manifesto as woolly as possible so that she will have a totally free and in a right wing government. That is worrying because it means people are willing to give her a blank cheque for everything!!

We will need to move closer to America - like it or not - so I feel at this moment in time, socialism will be linked to communism which is totally alien to our cousins across the pond.

Good question whitewave. The first thing I noticed was the good school for every child and no reference to Grammar Schools. One of my dreads is that they'll include that commitment and when they win the election, say they have a mandate.
The main reason I can see to vote Conservative is Theresa May. It's no secret that I won't vote Conservative but, I suspect for many people she is seen as a reliable, safe pair of hands. The speech she made on the steps of Downing Street when she won the leadership contest was good, the fact her words don't seem to be put into actions hasn't yet come back to bite her. When I consider international issues, I'd rather see her in charge of negotiating with Putin, Trump and Kim Yung than either of the leaders of the other two main parties.

It's not Conservative or chaos. The Conservatives are the ones aiming to bring about the most chaos.
