What can TM be thinking of?

Sigh and double sigh.

Not content with taking us into an undemocratic referendum when we are all asked to vote on something where no-one could have a clear picture of the options, the conservatives now have a leader who stands and loudly slags off those with whom we need to negotiate for the secure future of the country. All thoroughly irresponsible - it just makes me want to despair.

You should read Japan's Brexit note to Britain — it's brutal.

You should read Japan's message to Britain on Brexit. Especially if you supported Leave. It's a brutal, lengthy, detailed dissection of all the potential economic damage leaving the EU will do to the UK.

This should be read by everyone who thinks The Great Leader is oh so clever when it comes to Brexit.

I'll let you off with the rest, but Newcarstle, Maizie.
Don't tell me you stress the NEW as well?
Unredeemable if you do.

rosesarered Sun 07-May-17 22:47:01

grin

MaizieD Sun 07-May-17 22:42:28

I use 'ghastly', too, jen. It's a good word.

I pronounce it g ar st ly because I come from the South and that's how we talk down there. I also say grarss, parss, farther and Newcarstle... dreadful, isn't it? Even after 40+ years living North of Watford I just can't stop myself...

durhamjen Sun 07-May-17 22:34:19

I don't think Jess uses skwalkbox or anotherangryvoice, roses.

By the way, you must be the only person I know who uses the word ghastly. Do you pronounce it with an 'r' in it?

durhamjen Sun 07-May-17 22:30:36

Did you watch the Macron/Le Pen debates, roses?

GracesGranMK2 Sun 07-May-17 22:21:49

Is Diane Abbot forcing another election on the country because she feels it is her due to run it without any opposition Jalima?

rosesarered Sun 07-May-17 22:20:02

Actually I think it would be much better if nobody did these awful tv debates.
Look at the ghastly Trump/Clinton ones and also Macron/Le Pen and any other one.Elections are better without them.

rosesarered Sun 07-May-17 22:18:08

Wonder!I think I must go back to using the computer, too many typos on iPad.

rosesarered Sun 07-May-17 22:16:59

Ana and Jalima ? Haha.
I winder where all these 'factoids' originate? Oneangryvoice?Squawkbox or whatever?

Ana Sun 07-May-17 20:01:17

David Cameron didn't seem to have any problems when he kept 'agreeing with Nick' prior to the coalition. If anyone should have been advised not to take part, it was Gordon Brown.

Jalima1108 Sun 07-May-17 19:50:44

She's been told she can't go on a TV debate because she's failed the training course.
Is that as fact?
Do people have to go on a training course before they appear on tv?
Did Diane Abbott pass it?
shock

Ana Sun 07-May-17 19:42:45

Snort...

JessM Sun 07-May-17 19:00:16

TM is having her strings pulled. She's being told what to say based on lots of geeky "big data" analysis. She's being kept away from the public because she is so gawky and awkward. She's been told she can't go on a TV debate because she's failed the training course. David Cameron also, told he would come across v badly, so refuse to participate.

Why you shouldn't vote for TM.

Ana Sun 07-May-17 16:24:39

Yes, because the electorate is that thick...grin

durhamjen Sun 07-May-17 15:43:32

That WOULD be interesting James.
Perhaps lots of Tory voters could be persuaded to write May in the box instead of a cross.

James2451 Sun 07-May-17 15:28:13

I have really enjoyed reading the various view. One little comment from me, is this GE or a referendum? For I believed at a GE you voted for a constituency MP not a Party leader, so what's this "vote for me" rubbish? It could result in that we end up with many appalling MP's who are really not fit to represent their constituency.

If we are voting for Teresa May, should her name be in place of "Conservative" on the ballot paper?.

Ana Sun 07-May-17 14:29:24

Bless him, he's being positive!

(and why not?)

rosesarered Sun 07-May-17 14:26:36

Unless he honestly thinks he will win! ( surely not?)

Ana Sun 07-May-17 14:22:01

It's not a tune though, is it?

Meanwhile, Corbyn's refusing to contemplate the prospect of losing the GE...all bluff and bluster.

rosesarered Sun 07-May-17 14:17:34

Better the devil you know than the devil you don't know! ( if we are swapping old sayings) grin

MaizieD Sun 07-May-17 09:05:02

perhaps Labour should be doing it.

They really should but isn't it the Devil who has all the best tunes?

Luckygirl Sun 07-May-17 09:04:44

That's a good idea!

Welshwife Sun 07-May-17 08:55:27

She also only wants people to vote for HER - not the party -- so only those living in Maidenhead are able to comply!!
