That's a bum, can anyone cut and paste or something the manifesto that took me blood sweat and tears to do this morning please!!!???

Anniebach Fri 26-May-17 17:38:03

I am concerned for the young people who will see Corbyn as s hero, stopping terrorism, free school meals, no university fees - for England only, thousands and thousands of new house to be built in five years, privatisation of everything, today more police, more money for security forces and much more, god knows what else he will say he will give more money to in the next week, and these young people will be paying high taxes long after most of us are dead .

I don't care who wins the election, the country is heading fior hell in a hand cart

IFS has condemned both labour and Tory spending plans in their manifestos , labours spending will increase taxes to the eighties level

You really want the Labour Party to loose don't you AB. I am sure this is what all the right-wing papers will pick up on too.

I have just watched the man from the IFS and he didn't 'condemn' either Labour or Tory. It was their Deputy Director who was on DP today. He did say that they would be as high as they were in the 80s but he added (which you obviously couldn't bring yourself to do) that, if you compare it internationally, lots of advanced economies have higher tax burdens than we do. So this would move us up to about mid-table in terms of tax as a share of our economy. It would move the UK to a kind of Canadian position rather than say, a Scandinavian one.

Looking at the fact that this is where we would be - not equalling a social-democratic country like the Scandinavian ones but equalling a nice central Liberal one like Canada. If I was you I would be shouting loudly about the fact that our tax take has fallen so low under the Tories that we are strangling growth and leaving people with little to live on and no care when needed.

So he condemns the terrorist who killed our children and claims they will be held to account for their actions but he defended the IRA and they killed children, oh dear, double standards from the great pacifist who isn't now a pacifist , the friend of Hamas who now isn't their friend

Anniebach Fri 26-May-17 16:55:21

What is worrying is the split personalities here, I use to very much critcise Cammeron and not one who now accusing of posting bile and hate didn't make a squeak !

Yggdrasil the full speech is here.

In a nuanced speech he said that standing up to terrorism also meant taking a full part in our democracy.
He said: "We cannot carry on as if nothing happened in Manchester this week. So let the quality of our debate be worthy of our country."
He paid tribute to all those who have died and pledged that: "Terrorists with their atrocious acts of cruelty will never divide us and will never prevail".
But he said that it was right to think about how we tackle these issues.
He told the audience: “We must be brave enough to admit the ‘war on terror’ is simply not working. We need a smarter way to reduce the threat from countries that nurture terrorists and generate terrorism.
“Many experts, including professionals in our intelligence and security services, have pointed to the connections between wars our government has supported or fought in other countries and terrorism here at home.”
He said: “That assessment in no way reduces the guilt of those who attack our children. Those terrorists will forever be reviled and held to account for their actions.”

Angelab,i criticise him when in think he is at fault, it's what people do unless they have some strange devotion where they think he can walk on water. I do not trust him, he is too fond of back stabbing and he at times lies

angelab Fri 26-May-17 15:34:11

Yes, he can't do anything for doing wrong..

Anniebach Fri 26-May-17 15:33:38

Rigsby, I don't do gangs, and I don't do the adult version of gangs such as the Corbynite groupies, I stand alone with my own opinions, I agree with some posters, disagree with some, but gangs ? Good grief no, far too juvenile

If Corbyn had waited and held respect for the dead and grieving I would have respected him for that, but he didn't ,he couldn't even wait for the burials . If Farron had used the deaths to win votes I would have said he disgusted me. We all have different views on how respect for the dead and grieving should be observed mine are different to yours and other corbynites , fair enough

Rigby46 Fri 26-May-17 15:23:20

Can you imagine ab and her gang if JC had said nothing?

nightowl Fri 26-May-17 14:42:09

Don't worry angelab I don't think Annie will put off anyone thinking of voting labour. Her tactics are too irrational for that.

yggdrasil Fri 26-May-17 14:20:59

I was out this morning. So I have heard the BBC & others telling me what Corbyn will say, and what they think of it, but I have not heard what he actually did say. I am still searching the web ofr something on it that isn't biased.

Rigby46 Fri 26-May-17 14:17:52

ab if you haven't read the speech, then you simply cannot pass comments such as you have. TM has made suggestions today about pressure being put on social media to get tough on terror - this could be seen as taking political advantage as well but I wouldn't say that - it behoves our political leaders to come up with some ideas and both TM and JC are - what has TF suggested? Or is he just criticising - honestly, he's more and more of a pipsquek isn't he?

Anniebach Fri 26-May-17 13:55:10

I am not putting people off voting labour, I am giving my opinion on the labour leader , he will be a disasterous PM because he lives in his own world not the real world .

Corbynites here think using the deaths in Manchester to win votes is fine, I do not

Stay, Sit, Walkies Ana? grin

Anniebach Fri 26-May-17 13:49:21

So when do you think IS will be ready for talks of peace llovecheese ?

and Corbyn voted against the good Friday agreement and those talks had gone on for years

He has also questioned the police having the right to shoot , if they come face to face with an armed terrorist the police should ask them to have a chat ?

Ilovecheese Fri 26-May-17 13:44:29

I agree with you there rosesarered

rosesarered Fri 26-May-17 13:41:44

Some people are more amenable to talks than other though, would think IS would laugh at the thought.

Ilovecheese Fri 26-May-17 13:40:10

I don't know who Lord Calise is, but I am a person of Manchester and I don't feel insulted.
Manchester also has a large Irish community, we also didn't feel insulted by peace talks between the British Government and the IRA.
Sometimes you just have to talk to people you don't like whether is is the IRA or Donald Trump.

Ana Fri 26-May-17 13:35:08

What is she, a Labrador? confused

Anniebach Fri 26-May-17 13:34:22

I am condemning using the deaths of people to score political digs and win votes. Did he wear a black tie when the IRA bombed !

angelab Fri 26-May-17 13:32:55

I would follow you GMK2 but that would leave Annie all to herself to put people off voting labour - STAY!

Anniebach Fri 26-May-17 13:32:30

Roses, he wants to talk to ISIS, perhaps they like Hamas and the IRA will be his friends . He has now promised more police and more money to the security services .

rosesarered Fri 26-May-17 13:29:47

Just heard Farron condemning Corbyn's speech.Amongst many others.

rosesarered Fri 26-May-17 13:28:42

grin

Anniebach Fri 26-May-17 13:28:02

Good idea, Byee GG

GracesGranMK2 Fri 26-May-17 13:22:45

I chose not to listen to him, just as I chose not to listen to Nutall yesterday

So you are condemning a speech you chose not to hear AB - it's time for me to leave such prejudice alone I think.
