That's a bum, can anyone cut and paste or something the manifesto that took me blood sweat and tears to do this morning please!!!???

The far left have always been eager to clear the party of moderates

Jalima1108 Wed 24-May-17 20:31:12

I have only connected McDonnell with the GLC as we were living there at the time, we had just moved there as Livingstone made some nifty little manoeuvres to oust McIntosh, the moderate Labour leader of the GLC and install himself as leader.

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 15:54:26

Yes he did but failed to get enough MP's to back him

angelab Wed 24-May-17 15:14:47

Sorry Annie, I did not read your post in full, he did want to stand as leader before.

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 14:59:52

I had forgotten that Jalima

Jalima1108 Wed 24-May-17 14:54:50

McDonnell is more up to being Chancellor of the Exchequer than Philip Hammond in your opinion.

It would be interesting to know why Livingstone sacked him as deputy leader of the GLC over 'budget clashes'.

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 14:46:39

Now that is an opinion Yggdrasil is it not? I have no idea if he would be better or worse, don't even have an opinion, if Corbyn wins McDonald will be chancellor, if May wins I have no idea who will be ,this is a fact.

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 14:43:20

If someone decides to stand as party leader I would say they want to be leader,a fact and not an opinion Angelab yes?

yggdrasil Wed 24-May-17 14:36:17

McDonnell is more up to being Chancellor of the Exchequer than Philip Hammond.

angelab Wed 24-May-17 14:24:06

So - it's an informed opinion?

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 14:14:37

Well he tried twice to get support from MP's to stand as leader but failed. He then campaigned for votes for Abbott to stand, then he campaigned for votes for Corbyn to stand . Thus ensuring if they were to be elected leader he would be shadow chancellor

Think - Gladstone. Churchill. Wilson. Callaghan. Major. Brown, possibly more, All chancellors or shadow chancellors , all became PM

angelab Wed 24-May-17 14:00:14

Has he said that, Annie, or is it an opinion? (It's stated as if it's a fact...)

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 13:55:16

His goal is to become leader of the Labour Party

rosesarered Wed 24-May-17 13:30:36

I always think McDonnell will be a nasty bit of work when he is out of the spotlight.

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 13:26:58

I quote McDonald when he spoke out about the majority of labour MP's

"They are f*****g losers " followed the next day with i am a naughty boy when asked about his foul language

rosesarered Wed 24-May-17 13:24:42

Good anology.grin

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 13:23:13

Surely roses not because I critcise Corbyn?

So if I criticise the Arch Bishop of Wales I am not a Christian ?

rosesarered Wed 24-May-17 13:20:13

There are plenty of rants about TMay!
We need a bit of balance on here, so what if ab says what she pleases......everybody else seems to.

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 13:15:33

Then you are not able to seperate the Labour Party from the leader , he is the leader he is not the party.

What of the labour MP's who have said they will not work in his shadow cabinet, the labour MP's who do not have his name on their election fliers?

For you Angelab, they are not labour supporters ?

angelab Wed 24-May-17 12:51:56

"Get behind a man without principles? Not for me, I have principles" and "All I have said of Corbyn is true", anniebach

Not only does this not sound like the statement of a Labour supporter to me, it's contradictory.

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 11:59:43

Corbynites here critcised May for what she did or didn't do when Home Secretary - past actions yes?

But I must not criticise Corbyn for past actions yes?

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 11:57:24

All I have said of Corbyn is true, not what I believe to be true.

Just another snipe from GG who then suddenly decides she has busy, busy day so leaves

Elegran Wed 24-May-17 11:41:16

Is that any different from what people have been saying about many other politicians?

GracesGranMK2 Wed 24-May-17 10:42:47

This is the difference be what you believe you are saying then AB and what is being heard. You seem to take little care over whether you insult the man or criticise his thinking and past actions and I cannot remember when you have made one single balanced comment and no one is all bad or all good.

Anyway, I have better things to do than encourage you to attack one person for all the worlds ills any further.

Have a good day AB.

Anniebach Wed 24-May-17 10:31:08

Hate? Rubbish, no different to opinions on other leaders, I do not rant, I post my opinion on the man. How come the fact I think he is a hypocrite is different to criticism of May?
