That's a bum, can anyone cut and paste or something the manifesto that took me blood sweat and tears to do this morning please!!!???

GracesGranMK2 Sun 28-May-17 09:19:57

It's all looking very interesting at the moment isn't it Iam. Glad it was useful. I have written up various bits from the Manifesto on some of the threads too.

Jalima, we import most of the materials before we export the finished goods. How is that good for exports?

Thanks GG2 for posting Jeremy corbyn's speech. I'm away with no radio or tv news so I appreciate being to read what he said. I can't find anything to criticise, he spoke the truth and we need an honest, measured response to the problems we all face.

This is an extremely interesting article, explaining a lot about Corbyn's thinking.

Yes, it's an ill wind that blows nobody any good.

Pound at a two week low today.
Good for exports then!

GracesGranMK2 Fri 26-May-17 18:58:10

I put a link on further up whitewave.

durhamjen Fri 26-May-17 18:52:31

Don't give up yet, Lazigirl. Pound at a two week low today.
Who are Mayteam going to blame for that?

Lazigirl Fri 26-May-17 18:40:34

I don't think Labour will win, and I fear for the country under the Tories, but whoever does win inherits a poisoned chalice. Brexit hasn't started to hit yet but when it does there is huge potential for another economic crash, considering the large amount of personal debt for instance. I wish I could feel more optimistic.

durhamjen Fri 26-May-17 18:31:29

Here's why you should vote Labour. It's a no-brainer.

Where can I hear the speech I've been out all day?

yggdrasil Fri 26-May-17 18:16:41

Just to remind you that the Labour manifesto has been properly costed, and validated. A lot of rich people will be paying more tax, and the Tories cut in corporation tax will be restored among other things. I have heard the speech now, it doesn't seem to have been the same one AB heard. sad
You can't talk to IS, they are fanatics; unlike the IRA and Hamas, who did/do actually have some political ends they were aiming for. What you shouldn't do is cut police, and Intelligence people, and the army, (and the NHS) in the name of austerity.

durhamjen Fri 26-May-17 18:14:22

Perhaps he'll explain himself on the Andrew Neil Q&A tonight.
Will you watch it, Annie?

Although this thread has descended (at times) into a playground squabble of name calling (by both right and left supporters, or rather by May and Corbyn detractors), I'd like to answer the OP. Yes, vote Labour if you want investment in the country's future.

Anniebach Fri 26-May-17 17:55:40

65% would agree He was stating what is commonly know - the bloody obvious.

I am waiting for someone to explain how he is going to have talks with IS.

I thought his speech rather like The Donald's, we don't care what suffering is in the world we have to put ourselves first

Anniebach Fri 26-May-17 17:52:00

GG I didn't say they shouldn't hsve views, gosh you twist my posts so much I sense you think you have your hands around my throat.

GracesGranMK2 Fri 26-May-17 17:49:17

Young people are allowed their views just as you were when you were young AB. How dare you talk down these intelligent, well educated young people. They are no more stupid than you are - possibly less so with their view on the years ahead not the years behind.

I doubt the LP will win but if we actually talk about the politics instead of the personalities the gap may be much closer than was originally.

durhamjen Fri 26-May-17 17:46:07

Yougov poll, 65% of respondents agree with Corbyn about the causes of terrorism in UK.

Anniebach Fri 26-May-17 17:42:53

Corbyn may win, today's speech may clinch it for him

whitewave Fri 26-May-17 17:40:24

Tories lead down to 5 points
