Yes I know it's hard to imagine that there's even more but why on earth are they going to change the voting system for electing mayors and police and crime commissioners? Oh wait a minute, is it because, surely not, that it would advantage them?

This was on what used to be a Darlington arts centre.

This is interesting. A Tory voter changing to Labour because of Corbyn's policy on defence. It was on Victoria Derbyshire this morning.

The problem is that they don't need to lie about their qualifications.
There is no reason whatsoever for Liz Truss to have been appointed Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice. She has no legal background whatsoever, unlike lots of other MPs.
It was taking fear of experts to extremes.

Nezumi65 Mon 29-May-17 09:36:51

Don't forget IDS lied about his qualifications. Party of liars that make Bliar look like someone who was concerned with the truth.

No wonder Theresa is just repeating 'strong and stable' and hoping no-one delves deeper.

About dementia tax.

Fallon definitely lost to Guru-Murthy and Peston. At least he had the quotes in front of him on Peston. He needs to be put back in his box, too.

They are even saying that the Faisal Islam/ Paxman interviews tomorrow will be a risk for May.

GracesGranMK2 Sun 28-May-17 22:18:49

I saw both Amber Rudd and Michael Fallon and didn't think either interview helped their party.

I was thinking today that Social Care had moved out of the picture but we do need to know so hopefully those that interview the Tory prospective MPs will keep asking.

Yet at the Institute of Fiscal Studies’ (IFS) presentation of its analysis of the financial implications of the party manifestos this morning, not one journalist asked about the Conservatives’ social care policy. Of course, the Tories will be keen to erase all this from our memories, but we must not draw a line under the issue.

More biased journalism - well lazy journalism really with them just accepting what they are offered.

I think they did, GracesGran.

Did you watch this today? Rudd saying that they would not say what the social care cap would be?

www.theguardian.com/society/2017/may/28/theresa-may-will-not-reveal-social-care-cap-before-general-election

I see another u-turn in the making before the election. Otherwise there will be lots more votes lost if they don't tell us how much they want us to pay.
I wonder if the cap will be the same as the floor? Very squeezed middle if that is so. All the breath squeezed out of them.

GracesGranMK2 Sun 28-May-17 20:12:05

Didn't they even shut the journalists away in a room at one point Jen?

GracesGranMK2 Sun 28-May-17 20:11:14

Certainly the first time I have heard that Ana. Surely the Tory press would have made much of it.

rosesarered Sun 28-May-17 20:10:05

Not everyone likes a camera in their face.

GracesGranMK2 Sun 28-May-17 20:08:24

She came on later to say she had hidden RAR.

durhamjen Sun 28-May-17 20:04:29

How many real people have you seen May talk to, roses?
As opposed to tory stooges.

durhamjen Sun 28-May-17 20:03:16

Really? Nowhere near her home as I recall it.
You made that up for effect.

rosesarered Sun 28-May-17 20:01:43

I doubt May is 'afraid' of the hoi polloi, why would she be?And homeowners are sometimes actually out when somebody calls.

rosesarered Sun 28-May-17 19:59:32

Respond to the RAR.....did you mean IRA?

Ana Sun 28-May-17 19:55:38

The person Gordon Brown called 'a bigotted woman' tried to hide from him as well - he pretended he'd been welcomed into her home but he hadn't.

durhamjen Sun 28-May-17 19:46:14

Nobody answered the door in that village in Scotland, GracesGran.

GracesGranMK2 Sun 28-May-17 19:06:54

You mean Corbyn is good at campaigning because he believes what he is saying and that's what his audiences can hear and respond to the RAR. I really thought that was the idea. May seems so afraid of the hoy-palloy and particularly people who don't agree with her which makes her appear very cross with them.

Didn't someone hide from her and not answer the door when she was filmed being a 'real' person? I think I would hide from her - she might shout "nothing has changed. Nothing has changed" and do her 'I am very angry with you' look if I disagreed.

More of the same.

Strong and stable?

durhamjen Sun 28-May-17 17:04:41

I can see him as prime minister.

rosesarered Sun 28-May-17 16:57:11

Corbyn is good at campaigning, it's what he does best.....it may well be the only thing he does well.
That and promising a free for all manifesto will no doubt garner some extra votes.
When it comes to the nitty gritty though, few can see him as Prime Minister.

durhamjen Sun 28-May-17 16:50:39

Maybe Corbyn will change his mind and go in the leaders debate.
