This video shows the reality of life for a disabled person after seven years of a Conservative government (with a little help from the LibDems).

Is she an unusual exception, I wonder?

Today has been like one long political broadcast for May

May and the Saudis.

From Jen's link
Theresa May this morning attempted to blame ‘too much tolerance’ for the attacks last night, in Manchester and on Westminster Bridge and is clearly positioning herself to exploit them in order to restrict civil liberties. A separate article will address her speech in detail.
But as broadcaster Paul Lewis highlighted this morning, May has blocked publication of a report into the funding of terrorism until at least after the election and possibly permanently – because it allegedly focuses on the central role of Saudi Arabia

It does say much more and more about A Rudd's part in this.

Having listened to May's speech - outside No 10 with the lectern - I can only think that she has politicised this awful event in an attempt to get/keep the UKIP votes.

The pharmaceutical companies need to be taken to task by us and by other countries if there is no justification for the price rises.

Jalima1108 Sun 04-Jun-17 14:48:04

The costs of NHS medicines prescribed in hospital and in the community in England rose by 7.8% between 2013–2014 and 2014–2015, according to figures released by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) on 12 November 2015.

The biggest rise occurred in hospitals where the net ingredient cost of medicines went up 15.4%. The figure means that the sector’s medicines’ bill has risen by 59.8% over the past four years.

So 59.8% from 2011 - 2015

I would presume that some new drugs are extremely expensive but the cost of drugs could be offset by fewer hospital admissions. Just surmising btw.

It really is time that like May we said "enough is enough"

We will not tolerate a middle eastern power whose hard line form of Islam has resulted many of their own citizens deaths - who fund one of the worse death cults ever. Who fund some of our mosques to spread their evil ideology and who are indirectly or directly responsible for carnage on our streets.

Ties in beautifully with her speech today.

Seems it would be pretty simple to track down the source of terrorist funding but we'd 'offend' the Saudis and lose business deals.
Deals involving arms sales and the dodgy spouses of some politicians.
Arms which are manufactured in UK (thus protecting jobs!) and supplied by UK indirectly to ISIS via Saudi Arabia.

And of course TM's transatlantic buddy might not like it!

That's an excellent bit of "scaremongering", Welshwife.
I hope those thinking of voting for a hard Brexit no deal read it before Thursday.

Found this article today - brings together several of the likely scenarios if things go ahead as planned.

Hope this works.

I agree, whitewave. Unfortunately it will not happen because of the links with Saudi arms deals. Could you imagine May handing over those arms deals to trump.

whitewave Sun 04-Jun-17 09:18:06

I think it is time for the British government to publicise the Saudi Wahabi funding of ISIS and some mosques in the U.K. The whole world needs to put pressure on the Saudis.

There's an enquiry on at the moment for an opencast mine near Druridge Bay.
If you stand on the beach at Druridge, there are lots of wind turbines to be seen.
Druridge Bay is a beautiful nature reserve, which was developed after the area was opencast. Why they want to do it again is beyond me.

The Tories seem to be in a complete shambles. None of them are following the same on line message about tax - probably because the supreme leader Maybot seems to need maintenance to her communication facility.

Doesn't bod well go Brexit negotiations does it?

GracesGranMK2 Sun 04-Jun-17 07:14:34

China will power ahead with the industry connected with windfarms, solar etc., and we should be doing exactly the same.

The problem Trump has is it is unviable to open up the coal mining again - which he had promised to do - as both solar and wind are now cheaper to produce.

www.theguardian.com/world/2017/jun/02/china-sees-an-opportunity-to-lead-as-trump-withdraws-from-paris-but-will-it

It's a two-way opportunity. I read somewhere that China has developed the largest windfarm in the world. That will reduce its use of fossil fuels quite a lot.

whitewave Sat 03-Jun-17 23:01:02

I see Merkel and Macron are going to actively court India and China so that the UK will be left out entirely
What an outlook
