The full process of transitioning EU law into domestic law will takes years and pockets full of money.

One remainer has said the he wouldn't describe the Repeal Bill as a can of worms, more a sack of snakes.

So after repealing the 1972 Communities Act

Second it will transfer thousands of EU laws and regulations currently applied here into U.K. Law.

Third - and most controversially and many argue is entirely undemocratic, it will empower the government to pass secondary legislation.
This will empower the government to apply thousands of tweaks without any parliamentary scrutiny.
These tweaks known as statutory instruments (Henry vlll powers)will amount to well over 1000. And will prove complicated and very time consuming.

These Henry VIII powers are proving so controversial because it gives the government the opportunity to toss out any law isn't doesn't like - in effect taking away rights that at the moment exist -without any recourse to parliament.

The HoL and opposition parties are also concerned that the government will succumb to lobbyists thus threatening environmental law, workers protection, consumer law and so forth.

The question is whether May will survive? I suspect they will let her struggle on.

The Brexit clock has started and Davis has let it be known that he feels hemmed in by May, so in that case it is possible I suppose that they will eventually insist on a change of leadership.

Eventually something will happen that will threaten her majority. That will almost certainly bring about an election.

The Tories have a couple of threats looming on the horizon, firstly the economy and secondly the fact that the current government is showing a level of incompetence clear to all.
