Now this really be worth doing!!

Let's start with the QS.

What will be left out/watered down! Not sure how they will explain it away as it's in the manifesto. Probably say something like "Brexit and all it's complications will mean that stuff will have to be shelved"

Fox hunting - out
Triple lock - remains
Social care - out

Telegraph report

Britain in its most precarious state since the financial crises.

whitewave Wed 14-Jun-17 09:29:27

Listening to R4 earlier.

Ken Clarke doesn't think there is a single person in the Tory party that could be PM!!!

I'm inclined to agree

gillybob Wed 14-Jun-17 09:46:41

A good point Welshwife (which is why I questioned this in an earlier post). But say the government had ignored the referendum result, what then? they would have been accused of going against what the majority voted for. In other words what was the point of the whole referendum thing?

As I have said before I voted remain, but know plenty people who did not.

Welshwife Wed 14-Jun-17 09:48:27

Perhaps it is simply just that 'money talks' and we simply do not have enough to compete with the moguls who want the Brexit.

GracesGranMK2 Wed 14-Jun-17 09:55:12

Gillybob many, many people did forsee how difficult leaving would be and said so but they were dismissed as 'experts'.

GracesGranMK2 Wed 14-Jun-17 09:59:07

Trying to stay positive whitewave, perhaps this sort of demand will stop the process of a pact between the Conservatives and DUP and make her/them finally accept that the Brexit negotiations have to be cross-party and cross-devolved authority. Pleeease.

Welshwife Wed 14-Jun-17 10:02:05

Maybe it could all just be stopped and we could go back to almost as we were - - but we would need to do something drastic about Nigel.

whitewave Wed 14-Jun-17 10:14:27

Has anyone heard a definately yes that he is in on the Brexit talks or is it just a nightmare of a rumour?

whitewave Wed 14-Jun-17 10:15:04

Im just off out will catch up on all the nightmare when I get back

Welshwife Wed 14-Jun-17 10:17:53

He will be sure to put everyone's backs up and ruin any agreement should he be in on it - I think we need to gag him!

GracesGranMK2 Wed 14-Jun-17 10:50:50

As there has been no Queen's Speech they cannot discuss the London Fire in parliament. Nothing can be done until two days after the Queen's Speech has been given. sad

Welshwife Wed 14-Jun-17 10:57:15

I think they are all being sworn in starting today - that must take ages and be very boring for the officils!

GracesGranMK2 Wed 14-Jun-17 10:59:08

They are Welshwife but no statements will be made to parliament.

whitewave Wed 14-Jun-17 15:44:43

I have been out all day. Has May said that there will be an enquiry? What did she say?

Ana Wed 14-Jun-17 15:48:04

Google is your friend.

gillybob Wed 14-Jun-17 15:54:14

I won't be popular for saying this (but there again I never am anyway ha ha) but I don't think we can afford to gag anyone when it comes to Brexit. If NF has something constructive to say , we should hear it. It doesn't mean we will push him to the front of negotiations does it?

gillybob Wed 14-Jun-17 15:54:33

That was me being open minded.

whitewave Wed 14-Jun-17 16:02:34

The only thing Farage has to say constructive is to push Farage agenda.

Farage isn't remotely interested in doing what is best for the UK.

gillybob Wed 14-Jun-17 16:17:37

I don't know him personally just keeping an open mind .

whitewave Wed 14-Jun-17 16:25:45

He in "a person of interest" to the intelligence in USA. He is judged to be implicated in the money received by the DUP for use in the British mainland.
He is being investigated by the EU. And that is what we know about him.

Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole. Not someone anyone who would willingly have dealings with.

gillybob Wed 14-Jun-17 16:32:03

I bet the bloomin' queen is a "person of interest" to USA intelligence!

I understand that JC (happy to be corrected) has received a few dodgy payments in his time. £20,000 from the Iranians for just one example.

whitewave Wed 14-Jun-17 16:46:23

Each to their own gilly

gillybob Wed 14-Jun-17 16:53:48

None of them are "my own" whitewave as I have a distrust of all politicians.

Just thinking pots and kettles.

whitewave Wed 14-Jun-17 17:06:01

See Mays ruling of deport first appeal later when she was Home Secretary has been over ruled by the Supreme Court.

Ana Wed 14-Jun-17 17:08:24

I expect you're pleased about that.
