Now this really be worth doing!!

Let's start with the QS.

What will be left out/watered down! Not sure how they will explain it away as it's in the manifesto. Probably say something like "Brexit and all it's complications will mean that stuff will have to be shelved"

Fox hunting - out
Triple lock - remains
Social care - out

skwawkbox.org/2017/06/15/told-you-may-cant-negotiate-dup-deal-falling-thru-tories-preparing-for-new-ge/

CCHQ tells Tories to prepare for another general election, get their nominations in by 10th July.
I bet it was supposed to be secret.

Welshwife Thu 15-Jun-17 17:01:07

I would think many self employed people are too! What a twit.

Sinn Fein says May to in direct breach of Good Friday Agreement.

Well she can't say she want warned. Almost anyone who is anyone told her "wrong move"

durhamjen Thu 15-Jun-17 18:01:18

She has also had her deportation scheme overruled. Not doing very well, is she?

What a mess but it could quite possibly bring about another election Jen. Poor Brenda - and the rest of us!

durhamjen Thu 15-Jun-17 18:02:38

They are probably camping on Brenda's doorstep as we type.

General election in September? Before the students go back to university so should disrupt the youth vote?

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 18:07:48

Would the U.K. tolerate such geremandering?

The UKSA scraps government pre-release access to official statistics

The National Statistician John Pullinger announced on June 15, 2017that the Office for National Statistics will stop giving the government 24-hour pre-release access to statistics.

About time!

GracesGranMK2 Thu 15-Jun-17 18:32:04

I thought September to MH.

mostlyharmless Thu 15-Jun-17 18:38:18

Hmm September. Well we can't go on without a government. Especially one with DUP links.

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 18:43:59

Why should anyone be landed with the s---t left by the scummy government?

mostlyharmless Thu 15-Jun-17 19:00:15

Negotiating Brexit will be a poisoned chalice for any party. Surely we should establish a cross-party team after a second election.

mostlyharmless Thu 15-Jun-17 19:08:56

Also rumours of Libdems meeting with Theresa May. Is that why Farron resigned?

GracesGranMK2 Thu 15-Jun-17 20:05:48

Vince Cable: Fall in retail sales shows brutal reality of Brexit hitting consumers

Unless the government takes a cross-party approach to Brexit, reflecting the need for compromise, we will inevitably see a continuing slowdown and possible slump in the economy.

durhamjen Thu 15-Jun-17 20:06:58

I agree with Owen Jones.

GracesGranMK2 Thu 15-Jun-17 20:10:23

Would May work with the LibDems or would we have to have a change of PM? It would have to be someone who at least accepts a softer leave and a vote in Parliament before we agree.

It would be a very brave move for the LibDems. It could kill them off entirely or resuscitate them.

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 20:11:35

Yes i read that this morning.

I think there is little doubt that Labour would win in another election, but i feel very queezy about them having to clear the Tory mess.

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 20:17:29

Lib/tory

The question is - should the Tories be helped to continue with this shameful government?
Nobody should help prop them up. The Libs will be gone for good

mostlyharmless Thu 15-Jun-17 20:20:49

Libdems would be committing suicide.

GracesGranMK2 Thu 15-Jun-17 20:20:57

A really good article Jen.

GracesGranMK2 Thu 15-Jun-17 20:26:44

I don't know. I think the Conservative government should go so we can have a Brexit negotiation for the whole of the country not just big money - which may turn out to staying in, and an economy for all not big money but most people just want to get on with their lives.

People may be angry enough ... but they may just want to stop being angry.

whitewave Fri 16-Jun-17 09:18:40

I am surprised that those who so vorciferously defended the Tories in the past are so quiet at the moment in standing up for a Tory agenda. The only thing we seem to get is crtisicism if Labour but nothing about why the Tories should be supported.

I can guess why tbh but may be wrong.

whitewave Fri 16-Jun-17 09:22:27

Watching Barwell on Sky - he refused to answer any questions put to him. Oh dear what an inconvenience democracy is.

May didn't seem to hear what the voter said when they got shot if him.

whitewave Fri 16-Jun-17 11:56:30

I think that normally May would have gone by now, but we aren't in normal times.
