Awful news, just seen this on the news.
Thoughts with everyone involved including firefighters

Anyone watching Lily Allan?

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 19:19:00

Austerity disaster

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 19:04:20

If our local news is right they are a Kent company

This is all so tragic. If other buildings have the same cladding it's going to mean a massive re-housing demand from others living in these dangerous buildings.

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 18:59:47

Good that is better news - I must have missed that there is so much on.

I wonder how many families have to be housed.

Anniebach Thu 15-Jun-17 18:56:12

X posts Jen, sorry , 44 families in a day, that is good news

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 18:55:08

Khan threatened by angry survivors.

Anniebach Thu 15-Jun-17 18:54:57

Can it be the council are searching for accommodation for the homeless ?

durhamjen Thu 15-Jun-17 18:53:50

The council was there, whitewave. The council has found housing for 44 families. The leader of the council has been on quite a few times over the past day.

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 18:51:06

Watching the news tonight, and the way the community is trying to help, it occurred to me that the council seems nowhere in sight.

So doesn't it have disaster plans in place to help the local population? Doesn't fill you with confidence does it?

It's OK Rigby; there is so much out there which others are sadly discussing. I am well aware that some irritate because they have no argument.

I can't claim all the research but it is interesting just how across the papers these articles are beginning to show up.

Rigby46 Thu 15-Jun-17 18:27:06

gg I'm so so sorry I think your links are great - I was being sarcastic about your providing links with facts in them because some posters were acting as though nothing is known and we should be waiting for the results of this enquiry -hahaha. The real disgrace is about how much is known going back years and not one Tory implicated in that has apologised or fallen on their sword. Sorry again - I love your posts. I should have put a grin

suzied Thu 15-Jun-17 18:17:27

There are so many people missing, the final death toll is bound to be huge.

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 18:11:12

The 6pm news is harrowing

Anniebach Thu 15-Jun-17 18:08:49

I always try to be fair Rigsby,

I do not like him, I certaintly do not trust him, I think he is a man who is determined to destroy the Labour Party, I think he changes him tune often so is not a man who stands by his word.

I decided to try again to regain the respect I held for him whrn I voted for him for the leadership, sadly he has now taken a leaf out of Camerons book - if there is a camera let me get there . He is a hypocrite.

GracesGranMK2 Thu 15-Jun-17 17:49:34

I thought some people would like to read articles from a cross section of newspapers. I do understand what you are saying Rigby without the swearing.

durhamjen Thu 15-Jun-17 17:47:55

Interesting article in the Evening Standard, too. Has friend Osborne written an editorial?

Rigby46 Thu 15-Jun-17 17:46:48

I've told you ab I just can't work out where you stand on Jeremy - be fair. I couldn't be clearer

The Daily Mail: £1m raised as offers of help pour in after Grenfell Tower fire

Rigby46 Thu 15-Jun-17 17:45:24

Oh FGS gg will you just stop providing links to facts, there hasn't been the enquiry yet so there is clearly nothing to know and nothing to learn from before 2050 the enquiry reports
