I have been discussing the OP all the time......unlike some.

You were doing pretty well there GGMK2 until you got to the point about " encourage one another not to reply in kind". I've taken the time to read back over all the posts last night and I cannot see one post in which roses disagreed with main argument, vis a vis, victims of the fire must he treated well and quickly. She didn't agree in how was the best way to go about doing that. Nor did she accused anyone of being a troll. Nor did she call anyone stupid. Nor did she collude with others to ignore other posters. Pity you don't like the word "collude" because in this instance, it's appropriate. Whether you post again regarding this subject is neither here nor there, in my opinion. And I can have an opinion. And I will post them when I wish to.

As far as I'm concerned, nothing detracts from the fact that a terrible event has occurred which was avoidable and the official response to has been, at best, shoddy.

There has been plenty of comment from those who think everything was tickety boo on the organisational front. People who disagree with this analysis have not "shrieked" at anybody, nor has anyone been bullied. For goodness sake, stop making a mountain out of a molehill.

Anyone is entitled to a different point of view but this idea that there is some sort of organised left wing group on these threads is laughable. Perhaps those complaining about this should take a long hard look at why there is such a united point of view. It is a question of human compassion and of care for those who are suffering and of asking for justice for those who may not be able to do so themselves. rar may very well care about the people of Grenfell Tower, but what she seems to be saying is that everything is being done for them, in spite of a great deal of evidence that it is not. I would argue that nothing that is done for them, be it throwing money at them, even housing them in a million pound mansion in K&C is actually enough to make up for what they have lost. Any response will not compensate, the support provided should at least be the best that can be provided and all the evidence is that it is not.

This will be my last post for some hours as I am busy and also the point you make is not, in my opinion, worth any subsequent discussion Chewbacca.

Are you suggesting that no other groups with something in common ever PM one another? Are you suggesting that we may not support one another if attacked? How do you know people were 'instructed'? I rather doubt that was the intention. Don't you think the use of the word 'collusion' is inflammatory/goading and designed to provoke an argument?

I wonder What was the intention of your post - just to cause more trouble? It certainly doesn't seem conciliatory and GNHQs warning was to everyone although it seems one member went on regardless making personal attacks - as if it didn't apply to her. She had actually started the personal attacks earlier, on another thread so I think she knew exactly what she was doing.

If a group tried to bring that to an end by supporting one another in not replying to the increasingly personal attacks what is your problem with that? Are a group of people not allowed to encourage one another not to reply in kind when someone looses their temper with them - and the victims of a tragic event?

Thank you Baggs ......in fact if anybody took the time to read all my posts on this page and the last, they would find nothing unreasonable in them, just that I am not jumping on the lambasting bandwagon.I have been a council tenant, have been in a house fire at night ( not on this scale, nothing like) and my point was that the community and church always rally round the quickest, councils are slower off the mark.Help is being given and I believe the survivors will be found homes and looked after.Others don't agree.......and this ensues.

Circulating a PM encouraging members to ignore a particular member does sound an awful lot like covert bullying to me. How ironic that the author (presumably accidentally, perhaps not) sent it to the subject.

I find it quite ironic that whilst fairness; equality for all; openness and justice is being demanded on this thread, those same courtesies don't apply to any poster whose views don't correlate 100% with the main posters on this thread. Roses has been accused of being a troll; being stupid; told to go back on holiday and had pms sent to other posters to tell them to ignore her.

I think that any suggestion, however oblique, that rosesarered doesn't care about the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire is really revolting and a sign of a very prejudiced way of looking at people with a different outlook. I'm actually quite shocked.

I agree iam64 I think it will be a severe case of cock-up rather than anything else, but in this case it meant untold deaths and misery.

I don't share the views expressed by roses on many issues, including this fire. the point of news and politics, is to share information, discuss and maybe read something that confirms or challenges our individual opinions. To suggest she goes on holiday again because roses sees things differently is imo, unnecessarily personal and unpleasant.
The fire is a tragedy, particularly as it's clear it could and should have been prevented. I'm angry that governments and the council ignored concerns. The councils emergency plan was ineffective. It isn't good enough to say it was an unprecedented issue. That's the point of disaster plannng. Local authorities and individual public service organisations all have emergency plans. The leader of the council has seemed complacent when I've seen him interviewed

Oh yes, I expect the pms fly thick and fast, and here we are sadly once again with a left wing dominated group shrieking at a poster they disagree with, being personal at every opportunity......telling me to go on holiday again, that I must be trolling, that I don't care about the Grenfell disaster and on and on and on.
