Awful news, just seen this on the news.
Thoughts with everyone involved including firefighters

And both of them being London MPs.

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 17:02:30

We know that not a single Tory will have the compassion to do so. They all voted down the Labour admendment which wanted landlords to make sure their property was "fit for human habitation"

They voted it down!!!!

Fit for human habitation. The bar was not exactly set high was it.

Disgusting

No Gilly, I assume he did look for water to walk on but don't think the sea reaches that part of the country ,

Just listening to PM on R4 - a factual historical analysis of the investigations, reviews etc into fires in high rise flats. All ignored

Rigby46 Thu 15-Jun-17 17:11:15

And many kept secret

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 17:11:39

ab wow do you not like Corbyn? I find your posts about him so ambiguous and would like some clarity if you don't mind. Pretty please

Anniebach Thu 15-Jun-17 17:14:15

Whitewave, I am trying to regain respect for Corbyn but his new obsession with the cameras make it very difficult, why not meet the victims in private , much more respectful than exposing their grief to the cameras , I don't like that ,you do.

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 17:14:20

No one from government "available"

Rigby46 Thu 15-Jun-17 17:14:24

All government ministers refusing to come on PM

whitewave Thu 15-Jun-17 17:16:27

Now, how about defending that decision?

Rigby46 Thu 15-Jun-17 17:20:53

I expect Jeremy has stopped them from appearing , you know what he's like

Rigby46 Thu 15-Jun-17 17:22:06

ab sorry still not clear about whether you like him or not - you'll have to help me

'Disaster waiting to happen': fire expert slams UK tower blocks

“A disaster waiting to happen,” is how the architect and fire expert Sam Webb describes hundreds of tower blocks across the UK, after the fire at Grenfell Tower in Kensington that has left at least six people dead. “We are still wrapping postwar high-rise buildings in highly flammable materials and leaving them without sprinkler systems installed, then being surprised when they burn down.”

The Independent: London fire: Theresa May's government accused of ignoring warnings over fire safety in tower block

Theresa May’s government is under pressure to explain claims that it neglected to improve fire safety in buildings despite warnings about the potential fortragedies like that at Grenfell House tower block.

Gavin Barwell, the Prime Minister’s new chief of staff, failed to give the go-ahead to a safety review during his tenure as housing minister, despite it already having been delayedfor years.
