Former leadership rival Owen Smith appointed to Shadow Northern Ireland Secretary in Jeremy Corbyn’s reshuffle

Announcing the changes to his Shadow Cabinet, Mr Corbyn said: “I am delighted to announce four appointments to fill shadow cabinet vacancies. I look forward to working with the strengthened shadow cabinet as we prepare a government in waiting to carry out our manifesto for the many not the few.

ww, gg, dd, dj all get their posts analysed to death and beyond , so why not you as well? grin

whitewave Sat 15-Jul-17 13:38:24

primrose your post made absolutely no sense whatsoever.

petra Sat 15-Jul-17 14:57:56

Oh roses you've been elevated to saint status. I knew they would see the light in the end grin

rosesarered Sat 15-Jul-17 15:30:55

Yes, just awaiting a visit from Il Papa grin

Baggs Sat 15-Jul-17 15:41:44

primrose, don't worry about nickety pickiness about your posts. It means they're being read. Take it as a compliment wink

Primrose65 Sat 15-Jul-17 17:49:46

Ha ha, thanks Baggs. It's number 752 on my list of 'Things I'm worried about today'.

'Political debate isn't trying to pick holes in a sentence in my books, calling opinions stupid or ignorant. We all have different life experiences that have shaped us.'

Please, Primrose, which books? Are you a political author?
Is that why you meet MPs?

Ana Sun 16-Jul-17 14:48:51

Have you never come across that turn of phrase before durhamjen? Really? Or are you just having another go at primrose?

durhamjen Sun 16-Jul-17 15:09:14

I am just asking her what she means by ' in my books.'

She might mean books she has written.
I took it to be literal. It could have been.
I am sure Primrose can speak for herself.

The phrase you are talking about, meaning in my opinion, is 'in my book.'

Are you just having another go at me, Ana?

MaizieD Sun 16-Jul-17 15:14:58

I think Primroses is just a little challenged in the punctuation area, dj.

Primrose65 Sun 16-Jul-17 15:20:51

Ana made the interpretation of my post in the way I intended it.

Sorry about the extra 's' confusing you durhamjen

MaizieD What's wrong with my punctuation?

durhamjen Sun 16-Jul-17 15:20:57

Oh dear, and there I was, thinking we might hasve a real political commentator in our midst.
I was willing to listen to and learn from someone who knew what she was talking about.

MaizieD Sun 16-Jul-17 16:20:42

Lack of commas, Primroses.

Primrose65 Sun 16-Jul-17 16:28:04

?????
You'll need to spell it out for me MaizieD (pun intended).

An extra s didn't need a comma or an apostrophe (I think that's what you're alluding to)

It just didn't need to be there.

durhamjen Sun 16-Jul-17 16:31:44

By the way, Primrose, can you please tell me why you think aggressive begging is leftwing?

Ana Sun 16-Jul-17 16:32:23

Your entire post seems to have disappeared now Primrose - or is it just me? confused

Primrose65 Sun 16-Jul-17 16:35:51

Ana perhaps you have discovered a 'hide Primrose' function on GN grin grin grin

Primrose65 Sun 16-Jul-17 16:36:33

durhamjen that's a joke post, isn't it?

Ana Sun 16-Jul-17 17:31:47

It's actually not funny Primrose. There wasn't anything offensive your post - why has it disappeared? hmm

whitewave Sun 16-Jul-17 17:43:57

Are you sure she didn't accuse anyone of lying?

Primrose65 Sun 16-Jul-17 17:50:46

WHich post Ana ?

Primrose65 Sun 16-Jul-17 17:53:32

ww The lady doth protest too much, methinks

Ana Sun 16-Jul-17 17:54:32

Oh, give it a rest whitewave.

The post in which you used the phrase 'by my books' Primrose. Perhaps it's just my computer that isn't showing it any more!?

whitewave Sun 16-Jul-17 17:58:08

Nope I won't until the poster has the grace to apologise for accusing me of lying.

whitewave Sun 16-Jul-17 17:58:42

I haven't protested not nearly enough yet believe me.
