SAAK you really take the biscuit by saying the elephant in the room is to do with illegal immigrants. Are you seriously saying nobody else has mentioned this? Do you really believe you're the only person to be thinking about the number of immigrants in the building. Does the fact the government has now stated several times, the immigration status of those were in the building who come forward will not be investigated? Is that what is the most important aspect of this tragedy is to you?
Also, the link given 18.49 at by dj that you appeared to dismiss is about the changes in the provision of social housing since the 70s. Only you could disregard what is being said a cross all parties right now about the state of social housing. No, the government did not directly cause the tragedy. But you would have to be pretty bloody minded not to find a link what happened to subsequent governments - red and blue - to the state of social housing provision in this country in 2017. It's nothing to do with world economics.
One thing you are right about. This is about personal greed, well partly. It's about councils awarding contracts to the lowest bidder, but not getting value for money. I wonder who makes money when that happens? It's not the councils that's for sure.
I am so angry right now.
