Corbyn has made it quite clear, what he and his close followers feel about our Queen and Armed Forces, do can those that support him eventually want a country with a President and no Armed Forces? This is how it looks. Why hadn't he the guts to just come out with it?

You'll be saying next there's nobody to the right of May, Annie.

I know some people don't like links but...

show what far-left really means, and that it is only the BNP and its offspring that are right of the Tories

Anniebach Sat 01-Jul-17 10:12:06

Is there any politician in this country left of Corbyn?

whitewave Sat 01-Jul-17 10:11:51

grin dj

durhamjen Sat 01-Jul-17 10:08:28

I suggest you read your original post again.
My comment was about the UK not Lenin or Stalin.

rosesarered Sat 01-Jul-17 09:02:03

yyg actually your comments show how rude you are!

yggdrasil Sat 01-Jul-17 08:59:41

RAR: Well yyg let us stick with the spectrum we have here in the UK shall we, May to Corbyn !

Let's not. Let us realise that the UK is only one country in the world, and most places, especially in Europe, manage with a much wider spectrum.
Your comment shows how narrow-minded your politics are.

We seem to have wandered into Mallory Tiwers territory.grin

I turned my light off because I didn't like moths and daddy long-legs invading the bedroom, so a torch under the bedclothes. Besides which I was supposed to be asleep.

rosesarered Fri 30-Jun-17 21:02:04

Living in a big house didn't mean you were rich.....it did where I come from!

durhamjen Fri 30-Jun-17 21:01:45

But you didn't have west African lodgers living in your house, did you?
Didn't read under the bedclothes with a torch because I was usually too scared to switch my light off, particularly after reading Jane Eyre.

Jalima1108 Fri 30-Jun-17 20:58:27

How did we get on to this?

ps did you read under the bedclothes with a torch?

Jalima1108 Fri 30-Jun-17 20:58:00

I don't remember cashew nuts, only the lowly peanut, mainly still in the shell.

durhamjen Fri 30-Jun-17 20:57:56

I did have free school meals. Living in a big house didn't mean you were rich.

rosesarered Fri 30-Jun-17 20:57:32

Midnight feasts? Pillow fights? grin

Jalima1108 Fri 30-Jun-17 20:57:08

I do like a drop of champers myself, but only if given as a present grin

Jalima1108 Fri 30-Jun-17 20:56:24

Hope you had a tuck box.
with lashings of hard-boiled eggs and sandwiches in a tin with ginger beer to drink!

I still like ginger beer.

durhamjen Fri 30-Jun-17 20:56:17

No, and I can't imagine Corbyn drank champagne either.
We quite often had lodgers from different countries, though. I remember one always had a large glass jar of cashew nuts under his bed, and he'd share them with us. Very exotic in the fifties.

My bedroom was in the attic and I was mostly scared to go to bed.

rosesarered Fri 30-Jun-17 20:54:24

dj you told everbody that you had to have free school meals as a child.

Jalima1108 Fri 30-Jun-17 20:51:36

Do you drink champagne as well djen wink

Gosh, a 7 bedroomed house, you could easily hide from mum and dad!

durhamjen Fri 30-Jun-17 20:50:51

It would have been interesting having discussions with your grandad, trisher. Did you learn a lot from him?

petra Fri 30-Jun-17 20:45:15

trisher
I wonder how the poor people of Venezuela feel about the glorious revolution?
And, the country is sitting on the biggest oil reserves in the world, couldn't make it up, could you.
Have you ever been to Russia and seen how ordinary folk live. It's not all St Pertersburg or the hideously expensive shops in Moscow.
