Momentum are getting stronger

Luciana Berger who is chair of the Jewish Labour Movement was re-elected in Liverpool with a majority of nearly 33,000

Momentum activists took nine of ten positions in the LP, one new official has said Berger is now answerable to us!

I thought an MP was answerable to her constituency

Let a thread on Momentum sink? Why? we have had equally unpleasant topics on other threads

Elegran Fri 07-Jul-17 18:47:45

Indeed, if all posters stopped posting when they found they were repeating themselves or talking round in circles, many threads would shrink away.

I assume the latest link to voxpox was an attempt to mock the name of Rees Moggs sixth child?

At least he wasn't advised which name to choose by the advisor who has advised Corbyn to vote for someone named Marcel to win a programme called .love Island

durhamjen Fri 07-Jul-17 18:43:27

Going on and on and on and on and on aboutit shows nothing to say either, so you may as well let the thread sink..

grin

Darnsarf Fri 07-Jul-17 18:33:19

It is when you've got nothing else to contribute to the discussion niggly. And these are the same posters who get arsey when posters "don't stick to facts". Sigh.

Elegran Fri 07-Jul-17 18:31:46

Abuse of politicians for personal decisions, like appearance, sexual orientation, or naming a child as they choose, just demonstrates pettiness.

rosesarered Fri 07-Jul-17 18:31:03

I agree nellie and if we all did that, we would have to criticise an awful lot of people!

nigglynellie Fri 07-Jul-17 18:27:12

What somebody chooses to call their children is a absolutely nothing to do with anyone else, particularly sneery people on here.

Elegran Fri 07-Jul-17 18:27:07

All voters are equal, but some are more equal than others.

rosesarered Fri 07-Jul-17 18:23:38

TerriBull... have just read your post ( a very good one) and that's exactly what I feel, that Momentum are like a totalitarian regime ( how dare you criticise our great Leader! ) I fear that moderate MP's will be for the chop.

whitewave Fri 07-Jul-17 18:15:18

Pretentious moi? grin

durhamjen Fri 07-Jul-17 18:04:34

Have you seen he has called his sixth child Sixtus, whitewave? Poor child. The only one of the six to have a normal name is the girl, Mary.

rosesarered Fri 07-Jul-17 18:01:36

Most people find them worrying (Momentum) they sound a real shower.

whitewave Fri 07-Jul-17 17:57:11

Some are considering him as a potential Tory leader!!!

Such a man of the world. grin

Anniebach Fri 07-Jul-17 12:49:22

gillybob Fri 07-Jul-17 12:46:58

I agree Anniebach we have suffered this kind of dictatorship LP in our region for a long time which is one of the reasons I gave up my LP membership . Did we see this coming ?

Anniebach Fri 07-Jul-17 12:44:54

I feel sure you will find them Devongirl, doesn't change what he has done, is doing and will do

Anniebach Fri 07-Jul-17 12:43:36

There is something rotten at the heart of the Labour Party, Corbyn and McDonald

devongirl Fri 07-Jul-17 12:43:33

ab I feel sure that it is possible to find positive things that JC has done

Just read that the LP in our region have drawn up a kind of hitlist of MP's who have dared to disagree with JC in the past . Threatening that they either tow the line or "else"!

petra Fri 07-Jul-17 12:34:50

You also got a shush if you mentioned the mafia grin

petra Fri 07-Jul-17 12:33:44

Most of the young, who signed up to join the Labour Party weren't even born when the Berlin Wall came down so have no idea or knowledge of how dangerous these people are.
Like most people on this forum I grew up with knowing how the 'thought police' operate. I also lived in an ex communist country.
Would you believe that I was having a conversation with a neighbour (in that county) about politics and she said: shush, you don't know who's listening. That was in 2004!!
