How much will a flight cost after Brexit?

the problem is varian that many, (not all, I acknowledge) people did not know what they were voting for, and as this thread has shown, too many people, whether they be politicians or posters on GN, just dismiss concerns as being scaremongering. This thread is only about one potential area of concern, air space, there are thousands of other things to be thrashed out, it is impossible to overestimate the scope of this, to my mind, unnecessary task. Just what did people think was going to happen? I notice there has been a lot less talk recently of 'they need us more than we need them' and 'we are BMW's biggest market' from Davies and his team. I assume they have started to get bogged down in the details, details such as this air space issue.

Prior to the referendum the voting public should have been given a list of what things would be affected by leaving the EU and then told what the solution to those problems would be.

I can't believe that anyone, let alone 37% of the electorate actually voted for a pig in a poke- absolutely no idea what the dire implications of brexit could be. So irresponsible. Unbelievable.

Nobody has stated for certain that there will be empty skies for 2 months, but there is a theoretical and distinct possibility, is the possibility of no isotopes for cancer treatments ludicrous too? Or is the Association of Radiologists just making mischief Rose?

Is there really any need to get so vitriolic and personal, name-calling and sniping like kids in the playground? I'm actually a remainer, so no, I didn't "bloody vote for it". I can see tough times ahead. I do, however, refuse to get caught up in the Doomsday scenario being played out on here.

Not rude rosesared, but yes, very angry. The smug assurances that everything will be ok are irritating beyond belief, and I still do not know what on earth you think you voted for? Empty skies? Increased food prices? American imported meat? Unpicked fruit and vegetables in the fields? Or is it all ok because of some vague feeling that you have all taken back control? No, I don't think that everything will be ok in the end, most of us don't. A year after this disaster and it gets worse by the day, can you, or anyone who voted for this debacle, tell me ONE thing which has improved or will improve in your life as a result of leaving Europe?

I can't believe that anybody really thinks it will result in no flights in or out of Britain for two months.....ludicrous.

This was a thread started about flights and has degenerated into the usual bash anybody who voted to leave the EU. Again!

No roses; just a request for answers and not suppositions. None of which are ever forthcoming. All we get is 'you lost and we won' and 'everything will be ok in the end'.

Correction; I have now gone back and read all of this thread and it is even worse than I thought. Buy a motorhome? That costs an awful lot more than a few Ryan Air flights. I am not fan of O'Leary, but why is it that Brexiteers, and you know who you are on here, insist that 'experts' ie people who work in industry that will be affected by this lunacy, are talking nonsense? You are as bad as Boris with his rudeness, and whoever the idiot was on Good Morning on Radio 4 on Thursday morning who simply dismissed the fears of the Association of Radiologists re Euroatom, you can't just put your hands over your ears and sing la-la-la-la you know, these things need to be discussed. And, lets face it, you started this disaster so you can't just tell the rest of us that it will all be ok when you have no such idea at all, the people doing the negotiations have made it apparent that they don't know what the hell is going on so what makes any of you Brexit voters better qualified? Or are you whistling in the dark because you realise you have been had for fools by a big red bus?

Reminds me of the story of the optimistic child whose dad filled his room with horse manure instead of presents one Christmas to try and make him less optimistic. The boy was delighted "Oh dad thanks," he said, "With all this s--t there must be a pony here somewhere."

Because it will take far more Civil Service time than there is capacity. Because major and complex IT systems take far more than two years to design and implement. Because the whole thing is likely to be fraught with dozens of legal challenges. Because there needs to be a clear, costed, structured plan for where the UK wants to be in two years time.

I can't even bear to read all through this thread, I think I will develop apoplexy reading all the defensive posts from Brexiteers. You bloody voted for it, what did you think would happen? Or did you honestly, truly believe the spin and nonsense of the Brexit camp? Maybe if O'Leary put his misgivings and worries about the future of flights out of/into/over British airspace on to the side of a red bus you would believe it? Give me strength, your pitiful claims that you are sure everything will be alright....don't any of you watch the news, read newspapers?
