Fight "Brexit" if you want to

There is a growing grumbling among the wider populace as more comes to light about the effect of Brexit. I'm on the email lists for several anti Brexit movements. Let's be honest their aims are to stop Brexit in its tracks; that does go against the referendum result which by some is seen as heresy. However, as more truths come to light the less feasible Brexit appears.

Now Vince Cable has become LibDem leader he has openly come out saying that his aim is to cancel Brexit. It will be an uphill struggle and not everyone agrees that Brexit should be stopped.

Smaller local events are being planned not just Southern (mainly London) based where you can join in.

In Liverpool (which voted REMAIN) tomorrow(Leaflet and information):
Date: Saturday, 22 July
Time: 10 00 - 1 00
Venue: Lark Lane Farmers' Market
Address: 1 Lark Lane, L17 8UN

You could argue as the Brexiteers will that as a country we are presenting a divided even disloyal image to the EU but when so many of us are trying to resist the cliff edge that is scarcely surprising.

Your European Health Card is in danger!!!

I haven't a clue dj I don't know how they work!!

MaizieD Sun 23-Jul-17 18:54:02

No, Ana. Are you saying that the DM lies?

I assumed that you asked the initial question because you thought that I think that DM reporters tell lies, thus, by likening POGS to a DM reporter I was implying that she tells lies.

hmm

durhamjen Sun 23-Jul-17 18:42:42

Oh, brilliant, whitewave. Justice at last!
Cheered me up for a week.
Can you take money out of a crowdfunding site?

whitewave Sun 23-Jul-17 18:40:24

What would I look for on Facebook?

whitewave Sun 23-Jul-17 18:39:07

Love this folks!

Nigel Farage has been ordered to pay back £80 k to the EU for fraudulently using it to fund UKIP. He has started a cloud funding thing. To date he has raised 0 grin

Ana Sun 23-Jul-17 18:29:44

What, says that POGS lies? I doubt they've ever heard of anyone on here...confused

MaizieD Sun 23-Jul-17 18:26:54

No, I'm not saying that POGS lied. Is that what you think the DM does?

Ana Sun 23-Jul-17 18:20:32

(Mind you, I can already imagine your reply)

Ana Sun 23-Jul-17 18:16:35

Hmmm...so are you saying that POGS lied, MaizieD?

MaizieD Sun 23-Jul-17 18:07:53

The absurdities of the DM (and the Sun) feature regularly in my twitter feed, Ana. I'm familiar with their style.

Ana Sun 23-Jul-17 17:53:24

Yes, amazing how many lefties must regularly read the DM to know its style so well - even though there are many different writers. Some even write for the Guardian as well! shock horror...

GillT57 Sun 23-Jul-17 17:49:59

Despite my outspoken view on Brexit I do have doubts about the EU but on balance staying part of it is better than being out

My opinion exactly Cindersdad.

rosesarered Sun 23-Jul-17 17:17:05

Well, we can see from MaizieD's insulting post to POGS exactly why so many posters avoid the political pages on here!
ww also chooses to giggle like a schoolgirl over the comment.
Shock, horror, that a GN-er who is not a left winger/Remainer can actually write well ( I mean, steady on, surely not?!)
So MaizieD firstly says she doesn't believe that POGS words were her own, and secondly says congratulations on writing like a Daily Mail reporter.
Charming, isn't it?

GracesGranMK2 Sun 23-Jul-17 16:40:48

I'm in some closed groups so it will seem familiar Welshwife. Thank you.

Welshwife Sun 23-Jul-17 16:00:10

GG If you have a Facebook account there are a number of groups - Europeans, the 48%. EU citizens, I started with one called RIFT - and the others now are all connected and I can see all their posts. They are closed groups so you need to ask to join and are often asked several questions and need to give the info.

durhamjen Sun 23-Jul-17 15:20:04

Exactly, GracesGran. Makes perfect sense.

GracesGranMK2 Sun 23-Jul-17 14:57:45

Do you mean the 75% (or there abouts) Jen. I imagine it makes me similar in that way to a lot of people grin but perhaps for varying reasons. He was explaining his on, was it Marr?, today. I certainly didn't find anything to fall out with what he said.

durhamjen Sun 23-Jul-17 14:45:27

Does that make you like Corbyn, GracesGran?

GracesGranMK2 Sun 23-Jul-17 14:34:58

Welshwife -
*What are you and Cindersdad signed up to? Is it what whitewave has signed up to or are there two sources of wonderful information?
*Thank you for your post - as whitewave said, it needed to be read.
*It there any crowdfunding to follow-up what David Wolchover says as a legal challenge.
*Thank you for cheering up my day. I am only 75% pro but I am 100% against what is happening - if that makes sense.

MaizieD Sun 23-Jul-17 14:01:47

ww wink

whitewave Sun 23-Jul-17 13:15:20

maizie I choked my tea over your last postgrin

whitewave Sun 23-Jul-17 13:10:57

welsh that was a marathon!!! But thank you, I need to re read it.

Primrose65 Sun 23-Jul-17 13:02:18

I don't think it was true. I think both sides made wild claims that were untrue.

whitewave Sun 23-Jul-17 12:58:21

Gosh what excellent posts there are on here today.

I've signed up cindersdad everything crossed for sanity to eventually prevail.

devongirl Sun 23-Jul-17 12:29:26

What's the point of that post, exactly Primrose? Could you elaborate?
