Did you read the problems with the SLC Primrose65? They are out of control and causing upset and misery for many.
One of my DSs has had a whole history of interaction with them, although he is and has been paying his student loan back. They have written and telephoned both him and me. When they ring they do not identify themselves and will not say why they are phoning, just ask to speak to him. Although he doesn't live with me and has given them his home number they still ring. He has had a series of letters and has constantly tried to tell them that he is already repaying the loan but still they write. If loan sharks behaved as they do they would be prosecuted but they are unassailable.

jen my children are 'affected' but I think there's value in education. If their education isn't worth the cost, they need to evaluate their choices. I wouldn't expect you to pay for something through your taxes that they consider is not worth the cost themselves.
