If I go to a NT property and have something to eat & drink there, I regard it as a treat and don't look for something healthy, just CAKE!!

rosesarered I love the National Trust and have been a member for 20 years but I don't like flapjack either.

The world has gone mad! The local council even wanted to know my sexuality etc on a questionnaire about emptying bins! Sounds as though the NT has jumped on the same bandwagon! Why can't they just do what they're supposed to be there for

No, Riverwalk. I used to be a member until their prices became rather too 'elitist'.
And if manufacturers reduce their sugar too much I add my own! Sick of Nanny State Food Police telling me what I should be eating or not eating - they only change their minds a few years down the line.

Weird thing to do, sprinkle sugar over a flapjack.

I am not a member either, used to be but would not give them another penny after the fiasco of my cousin's will. They were bequeathed one third of a sizeable estate in an affluent area of the south of England but made life very difficult for the executor.
