Two raving nutters locking horns - heaven help us all.

Bluecat Fri 11-Aug-17 12:52:33

This is the way the world ends...Not with a bang but with two vain, pampered fools egged on by their servile followers who daren't confront them.

Understandable in the case of NK, where arguing with the leader would likely get you killed, but what's the excuse of the Americans? The Democrats seem incapable of marshalling their forces to oppose Trump, and seeing a parade of supposedly decent Republicans making pitiful excuses for his insane behaviour is utterly depressing.

What can we do, except keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best?

durhamjen Fri 11-Aug-17 13:22:46

Next month, apparently, according to some seers!

durhamjen Fri 11-Aug-17 13:24:05

By the way, the US, China and Russia have enough nuclear weapons to destroy the whole of Europe if they so wish.

What happened to nuclear non-proliferation?

durhamjen Fri 11-Aug-17 13:27:57

Time to tone down the rhetoric.

Miep1 Fri 11-Aug-17 13:37:23

He's so fat he probably can't even see his penis

Luckygirl Fri 11-Aug-17 13:52:23

nigglynellie - as I said at the beginning: "Two raving nutters."

durhamjen Fri 11-Aug-17 13:55:23

I dare you to tell him that on his twitter feed, Miep.

rosesarered Fri 11-Aug-17 14:01:12

Surely Miep was talking about Kim Jong Un ! Does he have a twitter feed.....?

durhamjen Fri 11-Aug-17 14:33:14

Yes, I know, roses. That's why I dared her to tell him!!!!!

Trump not improving.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40901746

Apparently trump has had a nuclear fixation since he was this young.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-40879868

In 1984 he wanted to be put in charge of negotiations between Russia and the US, so I suppose we should be thankful that never happened.

nigglynellie Fri 11-Aug-17 14:34:32

Who knows what really makes these two tick?! Hard to believe that either of them is seriously considering nuclear war particularly as neither side would gain a anything, in fact the complete opposite Is it an ego trip on both sides by two men full of their own p&p. I certainly think Trump should 'Be Quiet', make sure that surrounding vulnerable countries are defended up to the hilt in order to shoot down hopefully all missiles fired at them, and hope that NK will realise the futility of their aggression and back off! Forlorn hope maybe, but I just don't see what else the Americans can do to contain NK if push comes to shove.

quizqueen Fri 11-Aug-17 14:59:32

I am sick of the criticism on sites like this or the media in general about a man who was democratically elected because people believed he wanted the best for his country. Why the Americans or the rest of the world would prefer crooked Hillary as an alternative, I have no idea. If that country or its dependencies are attacked then I would expect the repercussions to be great and final. I'm sure the people of North Korea would like the lifestyle which their southern cousins enjoy and would be very glad to be free of their dictator. He is the only danger here.

durhamjen Fri 11-Aug-17 14:59:36

Isn't it dangerous to shoot down a nuclear missile?
It will spread radioactivity over a very large area, presumably.

durhamjen Fri 11-Aug-17 15:01:15

What's happened tp UKIP, quizqueen?

sandelf78a Fri 11-Aug-17 15:14:31

Spoilt rich boys, both of them.

Jalima1108 Fri 11-Aug-17 15:21:02

I'm sure no-one would disagree with that. However, if a nuclear missile was used by either side it will not just kill Kim-Jong-Un but possibly millions of people in a very wide area.

Jalima1108 Fri 11-Aug-17 15:26:21

I'm not sure djen. Presumably it would be shot down over the ocean if possible and could it be shot down successfully before detonation and remain intact?

devongirl Fri 11-Aug-17 15:29:25

Would the firing of a nuclear missile at the US be 'the best for his country'?

paddyann Fri 11-Aug-17 15:30:25

I feel sick every time I hear another of trumps pronouncements on twitter, the man is clearly insane .How on earth has he got into the position he's in? Someone needs to stop him and do it NOW ,for the sake of the human race ...pf all creeds and colours

rosesarered Fri 11-Aug-17 15:39:21

Trump will be gone ( maybe sooner rather than later) but Kim Jong Un will still be there, as will his nuclear missiles.
Another US administration will have to deal with it.

nigglynellie Fri 11-Aug-17 15:42:10

At the moment NK haven't got a nuclear programme , but will possibly have one by 2018 so defence for the minute at least is an option - with nuclear warheads? I'm not sure.

Alidoll Fri 11-Aug-17 15:59:06

So I should hold off paying the balance on a holiday to America next year then...just in case grin

Diddy1 Fri 11-Aug-17 16:00:29

If missiles are fired on Guam, then the world is in trouble, as Trump is bound to retaliate.
These two maniac leaders need to be removed ASAP, but how can this be done, Have GNetters any suggestions I wonder.

nigglynellie Fri 11-Aug-17 16:22:06

Not this one I'm afraid! I have no answers on how to remove either of these two!

durhamjen Fri 11-Aug-17 16:36:12

NK has no nuclear programme at the moment.
Really, niggly?
Why are we all so worried, then?

nigglynellie Fri 11-Aug-17 16:48:15

Yes of course they have a programme, but the warheads are not nuclear -yet! 2018 maybe earlier they most certainly will be, that's why we are all so worried.
