Still I've come to the conclusion all those who are OK and believe Branson deserve the privatisation of the NHS and his profiteering from our public services. Not many people travel from London to Newcastle and get there at exactly the right time. Perhaps he knows people there. Perhaps people were there to meet him.

Maybe he had booked sets on a later train lemongrovebut arrived at the station early and got the first Virgin train, his ticket entitled him to. If we are pursuing the silly argument let's go all the way. And unless his team travel regularly from London to Newcastle they are unlikely to know about the train overcrowding, just as many of the people on here don't believe in it.
When someone veers off into fantasy which they mistakenly think is satire they really admit the argument is lost.

They caught a train at 11.00 in order to be in Newcastle that evening. The train takes 3 hours. If they had booked seats they would have had to catch that train. If they had missed that train, they could have caught the next one or the one after that on an open ticket.
So much easier for them not to book seats.

We do come back to the same argument though, why did his team not book seats? Did they airily say, oh it will be fine, there will be loads of seats for us all?Was it a spur of the moment trip with not a minute to lose to book seats?
