Accountancy firms who dream up these schemes are legally obliged to present the papers to hmrc who then may or may not challenge them, but at the very least feed recommendations to government who may or may not choose to act.

There appears to be an interesting difference between those who want to convince others that their views are the "right" ones and those who just want to say what they think but don't mind if others disagree.

We are not "Corbyn supporters/diehards" lemongrove we are people who believe in democracy, are concerned for public services, and believe that a massive company which is already cherry picking NHS services might just possibly have a vested interest in discrediting someone who openly opposes the privatisation of the NHS.
And sorry I think a tax record and public accountability are important when looking at the actions of that company if they choose to involve themselves in a political situation.

As I understand it the network was in a really bad state at the point of rail transport privatisation.

I know it was ideologically motivated. And I don't think it was a failure. I think it worked pretty well back then and that it works pretty well now too...

And if you read the report further you will see that the private companies (or European nationalised rail operating companies) are not actually running the services at a profit but are paying dividends to their shareholders on the back of the UK government subsidies to the railway network. The subsidies being almost £4 billion at the time of the report. So Branson and all the other train operating companies are not actually creating any wealth but are diverting government subsidy to their own use.

What we really seem to have here is, on the one side, posters who after reading all the relevant information on traingate have come to the fairly obvious conclusion that it was a stunt , made good PR and so on for Corbyn, and on the other side are Corbyn supporters /diehards who seem to think that he is different to all other politicians ( he isn't ) who would never tell a lie, or even bend the truth a little or admit it was a stunt , so naturally, they very naively or in denial maybe, are posting more and more odd things to defend or deflect the debate.So we have Communist grandfathers making an appearance, Branson and his millions and complaints about tax paying, anecdotes that have no relevance at all, and now, allegations that the police are investigating Conservatives for criminal behaviour.
What comes next? ?

If it's true, then all those people wanting to make money and avoid tax who live in the EU will be flooding over here in the next couple of years, as the EU is now starting country by country reporting, where people pay tax in the country where the transaction takes place.

There are more companies with offices in the Virgin Islands than there are members of the population.
